The Maestro's Swan Song

One of the greatest musicals from Bollywood; Pancham's songs have been finally released on vinyl. The source is digital, I guess. But I do not complain, for the songs sound just as fresh as when they were first released. The vinyl is heavy and carries very good bass-treble balance. Minor sounds in Ek Ladki, Kuchh Na Kaho, and Rooth Na Jaana are picked up well. Even Lata's otherwise insipid rendition of Kuchh Na Kaho sounds refreshing for a change. Kavita K's lovely Pyar Hua Chupke Se could have been recorded better, in my opinion: The audio CD has better sharpness and bass. But what have they
