34 Bubblegums and Candies

I am failed to understand what made Preeti Shenoy to write this.. I really felt that this book is a result of some broken piece of her personal diary.. she doesn't have the flair for writing, no comprehension nothing great about narration. I mean she doesn't know the art for story telling, abruptly she started and suddenly concluded. It's plain, lacks good comprehension and very ordinary !! I wont say I wasted my money but of course I wasted my time to read such crap!!

what a waste....just did not like the work of this author...

Having read Preeti's blog and knowing that the book is a compilation of her earlier blog entries, I understood the book is going to be incidents related to her life. I loved the way she dealt with some of the incidents and some of her stories indeed did make me think about my own issues. The part which touched me the most was "How this Book came to be" - that was deep and reminded me of something in my family's life. The main stories were cute and sweet. Its a lovely book to read on a nice warm afternoon with some chips and as you read, you will be sure to recollect similar incidents in your life.

the first story was too good, but as one proceed, the book seems to have lost its "charm" "magnetism"! it was soo ordinary and didn't really deserve to be "a national bestseller"!!! just a random collection of memories...just like the author's blog! so let's just say she could've kept those memories restricted to a blog rather than publishing a whole book and wastind the reader's time...!!!

This book is not a compilation of story. It's a bunch of sweet incidents. When i started to read this book i felt very light and easy to go along with it. And that is only because it may have happened or yet to happen in anyone's life. This book is creative treatment of reality in the form of small small incidents.

This is a book which is not like....
A book in which you are not forced to show full interest,
Reading again and again to understand some difficult vocabularies,
Stick to a particular character or a plot.

Instead it is like....
Which you can read when you are in a relax mood!
Can read if you want to get relaxed!
Can be read sitting in your home or park or before sleeping!
It sure makes your heart light and pleasant!
Can give you very good company in the evenings with a cup of coffee!
and so on...

"How this book came to be" is the best part which is very touching. And some cute incidents about "chunnu and Munnu", "The Stranger", all the parts about the two little kids... cherishable memories!
