The 39 Clues #02: One False Note is the second book in the series of books, The 39 Clues, written by a collaboration of authors, about the adventures of two siblings Amy and Dan Cahill, and how they vie with their competitors to create the most powerful person on Earth. Amy and Dan, orphaned children, are raised by their grandmother Grace Cahill, who tells them that they belong to the most powerful family, the Cahills. While she is on her deathbed, she requests her lawyer to change her will. The kids are given a choice between one million dollars and the chance to be the greatest Cahill in history. They choose the latter, which needs them to solve a set of clues, which will lead them to make a strong serum that can create the most powerful person on earth. The siblings, along with their au pair Nellie Gomez, set out on one of the most fantastic yet dangerous journeys ever, which takes them to the grounds and undergrounds of Paris, Vienna, and Salzburg. They meet the elder sister of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, where they lay their hands on a diary with Mozart’s notes, only to find three pages missing. Loaded with adventurous stories, the book promises to keep the readers on tenterhooks till the end. It takes interesting turns throughout, and ends on a very curious note. The 39 Clues #02: One False Note was first published in 2008. It received both critical and positive responses, and featured in the Children’s Books’ New York Times best-seller list.
Gordon Korman is a Canadian author, who has written novels and short stories for young adults and children. His books include the series Bruno & Boots, Island, Jeremy Bloom, Bugs Potter, Dive, and Everest among others. Korman, born in 1963, wrote his first book at the age of 12, which was an assignment from his 7th grade teacher. Before finishing high school, he had written and published five books. His has written 75 books, all of which were very popular. He finished his BA from New York University in 1985, with a degree in Dramatic and Visual Writing. Korman currently lives with his wife and three kids in Long Island.
