One Reason to Disbelieve Russell Blackford Review by Daniel King, Ph.DIn a recent conversation with Russell Blackford I was amazed to learn that he was using a false definition of atheism: instead of the correct, ontological definition - the belief that God does not exist - Blackford was employing a much more epistemological definition: there is no evidence that God exists. The latter is, of course, the agnostic position (or as philosophers such as Flew would have it, weak atheism as opposed to strong atheism). During the conversation, Blackford revealed no awareness of such subtleties. This is astounding. Clearly, the fame of a number of the book's contributors(but Joe Haldeman??) was what led to its being published. If it were not for this, its publication would be miraculous, and evidence for the existence of God.
One with a sense of humour.
