    Good One

60 Minutes is good thriller on corporate world. I liked 60 Minutes, but I liked authors earlier book, 31 more. Expectation was higher for this one.

If you are in a FMCG corporate you will love it

I loved the book because I find myself in a similar situation in the FMCG corporate world. Pressures of product launch, blows by competition prior to the launch, crisis management - isn't that what you do at work too. I totally related with the story. If you are aware of the current FMCG world then you realize its Unilever and P&G fighting it out!

Now if you thought that the entire plot spans around 60 minutes then it’s not what you get. It switches on and off between flash back and real ti...

    For a niche audience

The book has language mostly suited for people in the corporate world. The packaging is nice. The cover set the mood and title really piques the interest as to what can be accomplished in just 60 minutes.

The book is narrated in a series of flashbacks and the characters are all painted with a grey ink. Their flaws are visibly apparent. The characters of Maithili and Agastya come off as strong ones. The book is by no means an easy read for someone outside the world of finances but it surely ...

    Worth every minute of reading

60 minutes is a corporate thriller- how 60 minutes before a major product launch a series of events depicting corporate rivalry, personal egoism and a lust to outsmart each other plays havoc.

Plot is well crafted and keeps readers hooked. Gives very useful insights into functioning of FMCG majors.

If you like corporate fictions, this book will not disappoint.

We need more corporate thrillers like this.

Corporate and large companies get involved in a lot of shady activities which public should be aware of. This book is both informative and entertaining, in that context. The story is fine, more importantly fast-paced, which I liked. I didn't like the climax as I thought it was unrealistic, but the rest of the book was good enough. Even though I couldn't relate to the characters much, I still enjoyed reading the story. So the rating.

Not as racy as it sounds!

Ever heard of so much happening in 60 minutes? Upendra’s experience in the field of sales and marketing comes to the fore when he talks about everything from corporate rivalry to boardroom discussions to corporate politics. Whether its people backbiting against each other or lust and love coming into the fore to get things done, Upendra has captured the drama that goes on in the floors of big corporate houses pretty well.

While half of the story happens in 60 minutes, for the other half, the...

    Meh

Upendra Namburi's '60 Minutes' is the second book of his triumvirate novels ('31' was his first).

The story revolves around relationships, twisted morals, a world full of scheming people and of course the corporate rat race to reach the top.

While I did like the 'quotes', (if I can call them that) before the beginning of each chapter, somehow the book did not seem to be a page turner for me. Everytime I put the book down, it took me quite a while to want to pick up the book again and finis...

    60 Minutes: Book Review

60 minutes starts off at 2.30 pm, exactly 60 minutes before the product launch and the story unfolds in the next sixty minutes. There are three main characters (Agastya, Sailesh and Maithali) and the story-line revolves around the lives of the three. Agastya is arrogant and ambitious, while his adversary Sailesh is calculative. There is animosity between the two. Maithili is Agastya’s ex and is adamant on seeking revenge from him for breaking her trust. There are way too many unwanted charac...
