Ethihaasa mattomme tiruvi noduva samaya

First I would like to hats up for S. L. Byrappa for writting such a wonderful book. A book that makes us moody for longer time. Why cant set an exam for every politicians about the real history of India so that they realize why not to spend money on hajj just because of vote?

Vedas
Ramayana
Mahabharath
are base for hinduism and people around the world has learnt most of the things from it directly or indirectly.

and I can say that Aavarana is one of the book that briefs cruelity of a relegion(Muslim) on another relegion(Hindu)

MUSLIMS plundered wealth from hindustan and made us poor
CHISTIANS robbed/ruled hindustan and try to make us slave
we HINDUS still give space for all of them for a peace life

There are many countries in the world where we can earn money
But real fact is there is only one HINDUSTAN in the world where we get PEACE

PROUD TO BE AN HINDUSTANI and PROUND TO BE AN HINDU :)

CRISTIAN relegion born 2000 years back
MUSLIM relegion born after that
BUT HINDUISM? It never born
If there is a birth then there will be death
Thats way we never born and we will be there till a last human bearth on earth. :)

Everyone Must read this book.

Everyone who believes Hinduism Must read this book. You will feel the cruelty of muslim emporers.tears will roll down. Our hindu culture and varanasi temple was at its peak. muslim attackers collapsed the temple and built a huge mosque....

avarana

I have read Marathi transkation of the book. The study Dr. Bhyrappa has done tries to make the novel 'avarana free'. As narrated by Dr. Bhyrappa in his writeup before starting the novel (mentioned as 'pravesh' in the Marathi translation by Uma Kulkarni)"Being free from history is as mature as getting something from history".[Marathi version-Itihasakadun milavanyaitakach, tyachyakadun sodavun ghena de paripakwatech dyotak aahe]. That speaks a lot. I am overhelmed by the study and genius of this great author.

Not to my expectation

This was my first SLB. Better late than later:-)? A very sensitive topic. His narration has balanced it very well though. He talks about history... History is always tweaked as required by the current rulers... what SLB has tried to do here is his own interpretations by referring to some more books. Satisfies the diabolical minds I guess... having said that... yes I have seen a masjid in Srirangapattana whose walls still adorn the pillars of some temple, with intact carvings and a sculpture of Naga. Honestly... I was not too impressed...

A Gripping and Disturbing ride back in time

"Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it" is what prompted me to read AAVARANA. Fantastic experience reading it. Every time I sat to read I was jolted and transported back in time, gripping and disturbing ride it was. HISTORY is bloodier than any fiction and lies perpetrated on us is just disgusting. Switching between fiction & history using "play within play" technique this novel deals with the Mughal history particularly Aurangazeb and gives a deep insight into realities of his time. Aavarana was sold out even before its release in February 2007. The novel went on to create a record in the Indian literary world by witnessing 10 reprints within five months of its release. Aavarana is the result of author's search for truth about history. He has stated: "I have referred to hundreds of history books before writing the novel. However, if anyone has doubts about the facts can refer to the books I have listed in my book. Out of my interest, I have studied history and my findings have resulted in a creative piece of work. I am fed up with debates and discussions on Aavarana. Allow me to think on something else".
