Summary of the Book
An uninvited guest arrives at Hercule Poirot’s doorstep one day, covered in dust. His arrival steeps Poirot in a strange mystery unlike any he has ever faced before. What is the significance of the number 4 that the man scribbles again and again on a piece of paper? Before Poirot can understand the scene before him, the man turns up dead. Soon, Poirot finds himself entering a world of suspense and facing an international crisis. His enemies are far more dangerous than usual, and this time, not even his grey cells might be enough to stop them.
About Agatha Christie
Agatha Christie was an English novelist best known for her murder mystery novels. She created several best-selling storylines centred around timeless characters such as Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, Tommy and Tuppence and Parker Pyne. Some of her best known books are The Mysterious Affair at Styles, Curtain: Poirot’s Last Case, And Then There Were None and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.
This book was adapted into an episode of Agatha Christie’s Poirot, starring David Suchet and Hugh Fraser.
