Having bought a model ship, the Unicorn, for a pound off a market stall Tintin is initially puzzled that the sinister Mr. Sakharine should be so eager to buy it from him, resorting to murder and kidnapping Tintin - accompanied by his marvellous dog Snowy - to join him and his gang as they sail to Morocco on an old cargo ship. Sakharine has bribed the crew to revolt against the ship's master, drunken Captain Haddock, but Tintin, Snowy and Haddock escape, arriving in Morocco at the court of a sheikh, who also has a model of the Unicorn. Haddock tells Tintin that over three hundred years earlier his ancestor Sir Francis Haddock was forced to scuttle the original Unicorn when attacked by a piratical forebear of Sakharine but he managed to save his treasure and provide clues to its location in three separate scrolls, all of which were secreted in models of the Unicorn. Tintin and Sakharine have one each and the villain intends to use the glass-shattering top Cs of operatic soprano the Milanese Nightingale to secure the third. With aid from bumbling Interpol agents the Thompson Twins our boy hero, his dog and the captain must prevent Sakharine from obtaining all three scrolls to fulfil the prophesy that only the last of the Haddocks can discover the treasure's whereabouts.

PURE ENTERTAINMENT
The Adventures of Tintin is a visual treat for all those who were brought up on Tintin comics.
The story is a drawn from three books of Herge namely “The Secret of the Unicorn”, “Red Rackham’s Treasure” and “The Crab with the Golden Claws” with changes made in the storyline.
Along with Tintin and Snowy the movie features all the major characters including Captain Haddock, Thomson and Thompson, Nestor and Bianca Castafiore. The 3D motion capture technology gets effectively translated on screen.
A delightful dose of pure entertainment “The Adventures of Tintin” is a real treat for you and your kids and is certainly not to be missed.
And before I pen off, an encore for the genius Mr. Steven Spielberg please.

An Abridged But Smashing Introduction to Tintin on Celluloid
The movie brings forward two of the greatest Hollywood film makers(Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson) together, in an effort to Introduce the boy genius Tintin to the world.
Thoroughly enjoyable and the niche references to some of the other Tintin episodes are brilliant.
Bring on Calculus!!.
Note:- The two disc edition features two BDs, one a 3D Bluray with 7.1 DTS HD Master audio (which can also play in 2D). The second disc is the movie in 2D with 5.1 DTS HD Master audio.

Amazing stuff !
Its a really good movie and the 2 disk special Blu-ray edition is a must for every collector. The HD transfer is awesome and so is the audio on the disk. The 3D looks nice while playing it through a PS3. The extras included on the disk 2 is fun and informational to watch as you can see how the movie came to life. Spielberg did a good job
About the movie, I dont think I need to say anything about it as if you are buying this Blu-ray then I bet you already know how good it is :D

Nice movie and Awesome 3d
I bought this item a week back. As mentioned in product description this edition contains 2 discs:
1) Movie in Blu-Ray 3d
2) movie in Blu-ray 2d and extra features.
This movie has hindi 5.1 channel audio track as well but movie is funnier in english.
Extra features are great right from conception of the movie(with Peter Jackson playing Capt. Haddock) to how it was made.
3D on this movie is one of the best animated 3Ds I have seen on BluRay 3D.
So go for this particular edition without any second thoughts.
