What a Movie!!!
Fact: I am not a big fan of Amitabh
Fact: After watching the new Agneepath, I felt I had committed a great sin onto the original one (which I had seen as a kid) and came online to buy the old Agneepath DVD just to redeem myself of the guilt I had after watching the new one.
Review (New vs Old)
New film had only 3 primary characters played by Sanjay Dutt, Rishi Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan with a very bumpy story line and scenes which didnt gel well together. It was just a gory bloodfest with an unbelievable, unnatural cinematography. Given that some scenes looked beautiful but thats just because the movie is a new production with lots of money thrown in. Yash Raj (or Dharma productions) would have done better business by just re releasing the older Agneepath.
Old film... well thats a class apart. So many characters enjoyed screen real estate. Each character had a story and was built up beautifully well. Each and every performance stood out not to mention Amitabh Bachchan. WOW! What punch in each and every dialogue... just hits you in the face. Even the young kid Vijay was amazingly good... I wonder what happened to that kid now. And what art direction! Each set was so realistic that one felt transported right into it. You could feel what was happening in the movie. It was tense. It was realistic. It was the epitome of drama, personal politics, vengeance, love, hatred, pain which is hardly a fraction in the new adaptation.
Verdict - If I had not seen the old Agneepath, I would probably be less scathing in my attack on the new one.

The rare DVD with Amitabh's hoarse voice as Vijay Dinanath Chavan (Chouhan)
This AGNEEPATH DVD released by Sony Music is a rare version of the film with Amitabh's hoarse voice, as it was initially released in the theatres. Amitabh's voice was later changed to normal when the film did not run. The DVDs in the US and UK (by EROS) feature the latter normal voice. This is a prize catch. Go for it!

Agnnepath 1990 - Acting, Style, Dialogues at its best
Agneepath 1990 ...... It is the most fabulous movie of Amitabh I have ever seen. Simply Fantastic !!! Please don't even think of watching new Agneepath 2012. It is pure Bullshit. That movie is insult of original Agneepath featuring Amitabh Bacchhan. Charisma, Style, voice of Amitabh suits 100% to the character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan.

Must-see Classic
When it was released in 1990, Mithun stole the show with his hilariously fantastic performance as Krishnan Iyer M.A. but later on Agneepath went on to become one of Amithab's best classics. Each character has meaty role and dialogues by Amithab are exceptional. The new Agneepath is not a patch on this classic.

Superb Film
Superb movie of Amitabh. AB's Dialogues are fantastic. Good story. Good picture & sound quality. DVD, DVD case & cover is best from Sony. Must buy. Value for money.
