    Good work. 3.5/5

14 chapters on God. A first and second chapter are the finest in book. Singh's idea of new religion is brilliant. His thoughts on tolerance, revenge, miracles, religious processions, religion & morality are admirable. 3 chapters (Chap 6, 7 & 8) gives a very good information about Sikh religion and I consider it a superb concise source for anyone who don't know anything about sikh religion. Two chapters ("Beauty of Koran" and "Sikh prayers") were little boring to me. Chapter dealing with debun...

    Thought Provoking !

I have read numerous books my Khushwant singh, however this one is indeed an eye opener. The points raised in the book are worth debating in the real world.

As always, Flipkart rocks for the beautiful service!

The book did make some changes in my life and the way I take things in life. All I can say is that this one will remain with me forever. Great Work !

A great book - explains a lot more than what the title suggests

Being a staunch atheist myself for many many years, I had all reasons to pick up this book and see whats in it. It definitely explains a great deal with differnt religions like Hinduism, Islam,Sikhism etc. pointing out their pros and cons.

In the first chapter, Kushwant explains the need for a having a personalized religion for oneself with reasons clearly sketched out.The language used is very simple and ideas clearly written. This makes the book very much readable and highly informative a...

    Brilliant work !

I received this book from Flipkart yesterday.

This is my first book by Khushwant Singh, and it is truly enlightening ! Mr. Singh gives us an amazing insight into the present world, where we seriously don't need God - a messed up, imaginary concept.
Guaranteed, you buy this book, read it, it is surely going to awaken the real "you" and make you look at religion in a completely sensible perspective !

In short, Awesome book by Khushwant Singh, awesomely delivered by the totally awesome Flipka...

    A Must Read Book.

After reading A History of sikhs by Khuswant Singh.. I ordered this book. And like HIstory of the sikhs this book is too based on true historical facts and not on some mystical ideologies and myths.
The book gives us basic insights of indian religions. Hinduism. Muslims, Budhists and Sikhs.
    Its a Must Read.

A catchy title but contents dont do justice to the title

This is not at all a book, but compilation of authors views on different subjects varying from Quran, Sikh religion, Swami Vivekanand and so on. I expected to have in depth analysis of the topic " There is no God" with arguments and counterarguments but it turned out to be a very superficial book with just authors opinion. Donot go by the title it is totally misleading.

As they say irrespective of the quality of the book you always get or extract something out of it but for that credit goes...

    nonsense

Okay so I didn't buy this book at all but I read it from a friend of mine and I think this guy's just a lost misguided soul on the boat of life to nowhere and that's okay. What's not okay is that he's trying to get more people onto this boat to nowhere with this nonsense book. It's a sad fact that being in a spiritual country like India not many people still understand God even though it's mentioned and narrated so beautifully in the Bhagvat Gita, it's a really sad fact. Fools like this guy ...

    There is no god

If you have read "gods and godsmen of India" you don't have to read and certainly don't buy the book since 90% is just a copy of the above mentioned. I would even go so far to ask my money back so strong is my disappointment. The new book is certanly badly put together.
I'm really dissapointed since I enjoyed the above mentioned very much.
Shame on you Mr.Khushwant Singh to give your approval to this book.

    Title Inappropriate!!

The content is of as usual, high class; but I think, the title is misleading. I read this book looking for stress on karma and value system and symmetrical condonation of all religious bigots. But it struck me that it delved too deep into telling us about Sikh rituals and history. Hence, an informative book but misleading title..
