Summary of the Series

Alex Rider thinks he’s an ordinary teenager. He doesn’t know how wrong he is until he learns that his adopted parent and uncle Ian Rider has died in a car crash, because he wasn’t wearing his seatbelt. After snooping around, he finds his uncle’s car at a wrecking yard, completely intact except for a few bullet holes. He soon receives a summons from his uncle’s old employers: the Royal & General Bank. However, this is not a real bank. It is a front for a secret MI6 facility. His uncle was a spy. Now, his uncle’s bosses want Alex to take on the mission which led to his uncle’s demise. He will have to shoulder this responsibility and become the ridiculed “Double O Nothing”. What MI6 doesn’t realize is Alex Rider could become their best agent yet.
