Summary of the Book

While Alice sits on the riverbank with her elder sister, she is surprised to see a talking, clothed White Rabbit with a pocket watch run past her. She follows the White Rabbit through a rabbit hole and enters a world wilder than anything she could imagine. Here she will meet some of the most colourful characters ever imagined in literature. These characters draw Alice into a world of wonder and fantasy. In the second part of this book, Alice passes through a mirror and enters another magical world. This time, her journey takes her through the realm of dreams, and examines how all life itself could be a dream.

About Lewis Carroll

Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll, was an English writer, logician, Anglican deacon, mathematician and photographer. He has also written The Hunting of the Snark and Sylvie and Bruno.

This book was adapted into several movies, most notably by Walt Disney Animation Studios in 1951.
