Amazing but lacks bass..
Altec Lansing needs no introduction in the field of speakers and this product also carries the legacy maintained by the company. Sound is crystal-clear and enough for its size & you can enjoy movies and audio on laptops.
Best thing is, it can be easily placed within the normal laptop carry-bag, so handling is fuzz-free but it is unable to make boom-boom sound for special occasions but perfect for daily use. Bass is also little bit less.

1. Robust and compact.
2. Loud volume, good enough for listening to music off the laptop and also for video chat
3. No external power required.
4. The USB cable can be winded on the rear of the speaker snuggily including the USB port
5. Classy aluminium matte look
6. Foldable stand on the rear to enable the speaker to stand

1. A speaker case would have helped.

What you get is more than what you spend
Altec Lansing is one of the best brand for speakers as far as my knowledge is concerned. IML227 speakers are amazing. Good clarity, Good sound & Good design as well. I've got Dell Vostro 1015 which is low in sound and IML227 speakers greatly serve the purpose. Thanks to Flipkart for their swift services.

Truly worth the price
Altec Lansing for 1000 bucks is in any case, cheap. All thanks to flipkart. Volume is sufficient for a normal room. Sound quality is excellent. All you have to do is connect it to USB port and you are good to go. If you want to enhance the volume of your laptop reasonably and want portability then I would recommend you to go for it.

What else is left to say ! .. This is awesome with very good sound quality and loud enough for the size and prize and the fact that it does even take external power but draws the supply from USB !

Its Really Not a Great Buy!!!
Speaker is no doubt Compact but the sound is not very loud . . . . the loudness of your laptop speakers and this speakers is not much rather loudness ratio of your laptop speakers and this speakers would be 1:1.25. But this speaker has a great sound quality.
