Gr8 CPU for HTPC and casual gaming
This is really a good CPU under 2000/-. Running all games of 2000 -08 very well. I am running this with GA-LMT-S2P board and Corsair vengeance 4 GB 1600MHz RAM.
My WEI rating is 5+ which is quite good for under 6K kit. Its running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit like butter.
Much better than any P4 single or Dual core processor.
Pros: Price, virtualization support, Overclocks gr8 with stock cooler
Cons: Was not free but almost free :-)

AMD Sempron 145 very good VFM
Got this for a basic browsing machine which will also be used for video playback/the occasional casual gaming. This is very good VFM and paired with a proper board will allow almost all uses except playing graphics-intensive games.
Paired with an ASUS M5A78L-M LX board, it unlocked to an Athlon II X2 4450e and is running stable at stock speeds with no issues in Win7 64-bit.
The unlocking also raises the power usage from 45w to 85w but will work fine even with stock fan/heatsink at stock speeds.
Sempron 145 or Athlon II X2 with a basic level board from ASUS, Gigabyte or Biostar will give you a lot more perfomance than combo motherboards which cost the same (but having less performance).
Good for entry level machines (not for heavy gaming).
Excellent CPU in market for the price!
I am using this CPU with MSI 760GM-P21 mother board. This motherboard has auto OC capability which can enable it by just clicking on that option in bios while booting up. I used it and it is now having speed of 3.18 GHZ. I have Windows 7 64 bit OS and it is running it smooth like knife thru butter.
I also have XP OS running on it where I play my fav games Prince of Persia: Warrior withing & Doom3. It works beautifully without any glitch!

If you are planing make Budget PC with in 10K you can go for this.
Asus Mother Board + 4GB DDR3 RAM makes a perfect PC.
You can play Full HD and Blue ray Videos without a hitch.
Even 3D Games like NFS shift and GTA and EA sports Football runs without any problem.
Thanks AMD for making this Processor.
