Amazingly COOL!!!

I'm using this processor on a Gigabyte board and 2 GB Transcend RAM. I haven't seen CPU temperature goes above 28 C. when surfing, working with office documents and even playing videos.
3D Gaming is also fine (Sorry, Not for a Hard Core gamer). NFS Underground and Age Of Empire works just fine.
If you are building a home PC just go for it. System remains amazingly cool and has great value for money.

Very affordable dual core. RAVI KISHORE G. is a bit misinformed, understand the Truth.

This is a very good dual core processor for the price, and its compatible with AM2+, AM3 as well as AM3+ socket motherboards if proper BIOS support is provided. :) Really good deal, especially if your upgrading from some of the older generation AMD chips.

@RAVI KISHORE - Hey dude, its good to see that ur trying to learn about processors and stuff. However, I kindly request you to get your facts right before posting any reviews, because your wrong information can cause some people to make the wrong decision when spending their hard earned money. :(

Hypertransport and hyperthreading ARE TWO ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THINGS!!! AMD's hypertransport is similar to the QPI that Intel uses. And hyperthreading doesn't magically make each core double, it just makes each physical core appear as 2 logical ones to the OS. The extra thread provided, can only give 20-40% performance increase IF the software can make use of it. Very rarely, especially in some old games, HT can actually even decrease system performance, but this issue is not seen nowadays.

I also read your review for the HP 2313AX laptop. Man you are so wrong!!! What do you mean by "AMD laptop processors are not reliable"?? Both AMD's mainstream desktop and laptop chips are made by the SAME 32nm process from GlobalFoundaries.....how can only laptop chips be "not reliable"?!! Also, just for your knowledge, AMD and Nvidia's GPU's are also made at the same 28nm node by the another company called TSMC.

WHERE IS ALL THIS MIS-INFORMATION COMING FROM???

Well, you will be shocked to know that Intel is behind AMD's bad name. INTEL HAD BRIBED AS WELL AS THREATENED LOCAL DEALERS AS WELL AS BIG OEM's LIKE DELL TO TELL CUSTOMERS THAT AMD CHIPS ARE BAD AND UNRELIABLE, BECAUSE THEY WERE AFRAID AMD WOULD OVERTAKE THEM BACK IN 2004-2006.

You can read about this fact by google searching 'AMD vs intel case'. Intel was found guilty, and was then forced to pay fines and damage money to AMD.
Yes, Intel is a cheap company with no moral or ethics!! Recently, Nvidia is also involved in a recent case where employees have stolen 10,000 design files from AMD.

If it was not for AMD, processors would be VERY costly today. Do them a favour, and stop the spreading of lies, because if AMD goes down, then there won't be anymore affordable computers in the future. WAKE UP !!

Top of the line Dual Core processor.

With Dual Core processors becoming dated, AMD Athlon II X2 Regor 3.2 GHz is one processors that bring dual core computing back to life. The frequency multiplier is locked, so it can be overclocked by changing bus speed only, and amazingly, it crossed the 4GHz mark. I run it at 3.7GHz and it's stable (overclocked with ASUS TurboKey). In case of single core performance, it outruns many newer processors.

Gaming is great at 720p HD, maxed out [Radeon 6670HD 1GB DDR3 & 4 GB DDR3 Memory], can effortlessly play Crysis 2 in Hardcore mode. It has no L3 cache, and unlike Phenoms, the 2MB cache is not shared, so, it's 2MB per core.

Stock cooler is mediocre. Occasionally reaches above 50 deg. C (AUS PC Probe II data).when room temperaure is 35deg. C.

VFM processor

im using this processor with (ASUS-PEGATRON) MOBO which comes with integrated nvidia nforce 6510e chipset and 4 gigs of ram ,i am also user of intel in my total span im more inclined towareds intel,m also using i5-3210m processor but i dont like to compare both as both are different in every aspect, this was my first amd processor bought 14months back, its really a worthy processor, but the major drawback is that it doesn't support hypertransport technology so the two cores will be two cores only as opposed to intel s hyperthreading technology and another thing is that it comes with only 2 mb l2 cache which is also quite dissappointing thing but the prons side this is very fast and good for multitasking can run at great speeds without any lag i sincierely recommend this processor to everyone.

Good budget processor with killer specs. My earlier intel c2d was noisy and slow and sluggish on multitasking like listening to music while some ofiicial work on MS office and opening more than 2-3 tabs on chrome but with this I'm able to open 10-15 tabs without any hiccup with other programs running at background! Gaming is great and much beteer in compare to c2d or i3 I have used at friend's place.

Pros :- Amazingly silent, always cool even on gaming, stable power, unbelievable fast and most wonderful reason it's cheap yet best.

Cons :- none!

A great buy! It is best seller budget poccy worldwide, rated 100% 5* at sites like newegg and amazon with everyone using is happy, benchmark test also reveal it's at par costly i3 in various specs. Go get it.
