Gamer friendly budget CPU

The CPU is the 3rd fastest offering from AMD in the 4-core series, and given its price and performance, is the most cost efficient CPU. I advice buyers to check the "benchmarks on Anandtech" to compare the performance stats with other processors. The 4-core series seems to perform better than the 6-core offerings running at the same clock speed.

Hi all i brought the processor from Flipkart. I had searched all sites and found that flipkart gives the best processor for your gaming needs. Never ever go for a AMD FX processors, bcoz they are module processors and doesn't give you the actual performance. FX processor can't be overclocked and you can't even unlock the latent cores. Awesome processor

Pros
1.True quad core(unlike fx4100)
2.powerful and at a reasonable price
3.Is a black edition chip and so overclocks easily(many ppl have it running at 4.2GHZ but I haven't overclocked it YET!
Supported by most AM3 and AM3+ motherboards without requiring a BIOS update.

Cons
Stock CPU cooler is WAAY too noisy and It hits 5000rpm at POST.So buy an aftermarket CPU cooler like the hyper 212

NOTE:When I bought this processor, the MRP on the box was Rs.12900 but on flipkart it only sells for 7...

Amazingly Bang for the Buck...

Although I have its younger brother (955 @ 3.2GHz), I want to write here on 970 page as 955 is not available on flipkart and both are just the same.
Phenom II processors are major competitors of Intel's i5 & i7 processors and they sell at half of intel's price.
Pros:

best processor from AMD with this price tag

This is the best processor with extremely affordable rates. This is a golden chip for sure. For a processor in this range 8mb cache + 3.5 ghz which i overclocked to 3.8 ghz, fsb 210, and ht link 2500 running like super computer. But u ll need custom cooling, hyper tx3 is enough with twin fan config.

Best processors with budgeted range

i am presently using amd phenom 2 x4 940 3.0 ghz processor and before that i was using intel....before buying a new processors i was confused b/w intel or amd but now i can say amd is far better because they are providing the same quad core processor in the range of 5k-7k wheareas intel is just charging the brand value and they are providing u the i5 processor at the rate of 12000 or above ....so i suggest to buy amd and moreover the amd ati radeon graphic card market has taped the gamers ma...
