Awesome Processor for Overclocking

This processor gives you Outstanding performance better than Intel 2011 core 17 Extreme processor and its cheaper than Intel and also more core than Intel. And you can overdrive up to 4.8 to 5 GHz with out any problem if you have a proper cooling like Corsair H80 and H100. And for 3D people it renders high Polygon Models in a blink of an eye with a ridicules 8 core. So looking for a high performance in cheaper rate this is the No 1 processor.

Note : Don't use the stock cooler for Overclocking.

Don't get flawed by internet review.

I respect my friend Biju for taking pain and writing the review who tried to explain people a little about technical working of processor other than its technical specs.

But he missed something. He tried to explain the comparison between processor by benchmarking. He defined benchmark as "It is a way of running the same task on two different systems and seeing who completes faster and scoring it on a number system."
He defined correctly but he missed some information to tell us.

He defined correctly but he missed some information to tell us.

Computer Engineering is a vast subject. And to explain benchmark you have know about the whole computer and its working. Lets come to the point, benchmark doesn't depend only on computer, it also depend on the motherboard, motherboard chipset, RAM, Hard disk (SSD hard disk are faster and will will affect benchmark) and lots of other stuff which you will come know about after studying computer hardware engineering.

Different websites have different benchmark for different processor. Some websites show AMD processor above and some show intel. But have you thought: "Why is it so??" Different website test benchmark on different condition i.e. different motherboard, different RAM (they also have different speed, you will see some are 1333Mhz, some are 1600Mhz and some are above that also), different harddisk and different graphic processor.

Suppose someone will start a website, assemble intel processor on bad configuration and AMD on high configuration, and published it on his website that intel have less benchmark than AMD.

Similar thing is done by the website which is suggested by Biju. While calculating benchmark, intel processor are ran on turbo mode but in case of AMD it is ran on normal mode. That's partiality. @Biju, Have you ever used AMD processor and intel processor both?, and these sites which publish benchmark runs on company money, some will tell AMD better and some will intel. Also intel is engaged in many unfair competions and due to this intel had to pay $1.25 BILLION to AMD.

Cost of processor also makes AMD at top. If you will see any website which compare processor on both cost and benchmark, AMD processor are clearly ahead. Intel sell their fastest processor at RS 600000!!!!! Way to high!!!!!

And one more thing AMD FX has the NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORD of fastest processor (8.429 GHz).

Cores matter a lot in parallelism

Guys, number of cores on your cpu will definitely be the driving factor on performance of the running programs. Being a person from computer science background I would always say increased number of cores(processing units) on chip will exponentially improve the performance of the system. At one point of time you will never be able to execute more than one instructions on a single core. But if your cpu contains n number cores, n parallel instructions can be executed simultaneously.

If you are unable to extract full power of 8 core AMD processor that is an issue within your program/process....

If you are unable to extract full power of 8 core AMD processor that is an issue within your program/process. It is not built to run on multi processor environment. But you can not blame the processor or comment that higher number of cores or high clock speed doesn't help. This is computer science, everything is controlled by the Mathematics not by the marketing or advertisement by a big brands.

BEST PROCESSOR FOR GAMERS

Hi

8 CORES, 16 MB CACHE MEMORY, 3.6 GHz with Maximum Turbo Speed of 4.2 GHz, 125 W MAX TDP, Integrated Graphics.... everything just for 12 K

I dont know why people compare it to i5 2500k... i5 gives 6 MB cache , 4 cores 3.2 GHz... for the same cost..

The only reason people buy Intel is because they trust Intel... Intel processors were the first to come .. there was no AMD.. millions of people got Intel so they still trust intel and think that it can beat AMD ... thats not the truth.. go on specifications and not on reviews...

Its the same story people still buy Iphone because they trust...

I hope that I made my point clear there..!! :)

Its one of the best processor in the world today at a very low cost ... simply buy it..!!!!!!!!!!

XXX beast revealed XXX

its been more than 10 years i have been using amd and asus combi. and i have my own business of computer assembly and peripherals also i have sold amd 10 times more than intel on a trust that it is the best ! Intel parts are very costly and out of budget most of the time because they spent billions of dollors on R&D, amd is the ultimate winner and AMD 3.6 GHz AM3+ FX 8150 Processor is a beast can be revealed upto 4.8 go with a liqid cooler best would be corsair liquid cooler !

GO GAMING !

It's the best one I've ever used

I have used Intel processors before......
But this processor is really muscular, it's a beast.
People say that it's better performing than i3/i5, I say that you can even compare it to an i7 SB/SB-E/Haswell. Those complaining about heat I'll just let them know that what they are comparing with FX-...
