As one starts walking the path of a spiritual life, or even sits to generally contemplate it, almost spontaneously a number of questions, doubts & dilemmas arise. An excellent book for both the newcomer to Amma and for the old-time devotee. Perhaps more than any other book of Amma's teachings, From Amma's Heart really captures the feel for Amma--her earthiness, sharp humor, wisdom and charm. The book is also excellent because it covers so many topics: enlightenment, karma yoga, meditation, effort and grace, death, relationships... Amma really brings seemingly complicated subjects to a level the common man can understand, without deviating from traditional Indian spirituality.

Wonderful, simple and very straightforward. Amma provides very clear answers to questions posed to her and in the process reveals the depths of her profound wisdom...but at the same time presents this wisdom in such a simple way that it can be understood by all.

I got a chance to read this book - its really amazing to know that there still exist such saints in modern India (need of the hour as we all are in Kali Yuga) - the language is so simple yet so profound, teachings are the same yet so effective, Amma is in human form yet so Divine !!!
