In the past man was at the mercy of nature and hand no control over natural environments. He even bowed before the superior strenght of wild animals, who could eat him. He had neither capacity nor resources of fight with them or to save himself from the on slaught of natural calamities. He had neither sufficient food nor, clothing nor shelter. His contacts and movements on the whole were slow because of difficult means of transportation and communication. No scientific and technological discoveries andinventions wee made for a very long time.Hard labour was required to be put to very get something insignificant.
