Old yet contemporary!

The story of Animal Farm was written by George Orwell sometime ago, 1945 to be exact, whereas this story still finds its match in contemporary settings. That's the brilliance of George!!

How his pack of animals can be equated with real life scenarios and yet they are so convincing.

Fully empathise with the Character of Boxer Horse, "I will work harder" and "Napoleon is always right" despite the corruption.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this marvellous piece of literature. A must read!

Super!

Nice print. Nice cover. Best quality book. Now coming to the book it is a satire on the Russian Revolution of 1917 and its purely George Orwell's opinion. You need to have a basic idea of the Russian rev. before you start reading the book. P.S. Its a novella. Its a good read please read it.

All books are equal but some books are more equal than others!

I am spellbound by Animal Farm and my lexicon doesnt seem to have the exact good adjective by which I want to describe the book.
The book is apt, even today.
George Orwell is a master of storytelling and one must experience this book at least once in their life.

P.S. - I am already reading the book for the fourth time.

Also, the book quality is very good, kudos to Flipkart!

MUST READ !!

This book is a must read for anyone who wishes to understand the political system of his'/her's respective country especially democracy. Through the use of animals the author George Orwell, efficiently displays the corrupting influence of power. This book I believe helps the reader to gain a bird's eye view of the scenario of politics that prevails in his'/her's political system.
It is a very interesting and amazing read for the readers. So go for it.

STUPENDOUS BOOK

A must read for every book lover . If you are interested in politics this book is your Bible . This allegorical and dystopian novel by Orwell reflects the events leading up to the Russian Revolution and is also a terrible satire on Stalinism . A brilliant satirical work blending satire and wit. Its both surprising and convincing how Stalin has been reduced to a pig (Napoleon) and his enemy Trotsky to yet another pig (Snowball).
Time magazine chose the book as one of the 100 best English-lang...

Terrific purchase

A political novel in the guise of a fable, Animal Farm is one of the most popular Modern Classics ever read.
My first attempt at a George Orwell book, Animal Farm left me awestruck at every turn of the plot. Orwell quite brilliantly reflects the modern political atmosphere through the depiction of a group of animals tamed by their worthless master.
Many political ideologies are tacitly mocked at, which makes it one of my personal favourites.

All animals(humans)are equal,albeit,Some animals(those in power)are more equal than others(mango-man)

George Orwell has put forth a wonderful clarity to the subtle nuances between capitalism and socialism. Capitalists do proclaim themselves as profit driven..however the authoritative entities in a Socialistic structure put on a facade of achieving an egalitarian society, which is actually driven by embezzlement and self satiation..

All classics are equal, but some are more equal than the others.

Although the book becomes slightly meandering( for the lack of any better word) in the middle it manages to grip the reader.
It is fantastic how this simply written book set in a hyper-realistic background with its larger -than-life characters stands as an apotheosis for all the kinds of revolutions one comes across.
The climax of the book sums it all up beautifully.A must read.
After all,"All classics are equal, but some are more equal than the others."
