|Title||Anno 1404 (Gold Edition)|
I had been searching for this game for a while now. i've always loved city building/management sims, and the Anno series is one of the oldest and by far the prettiest of the lot. Anno 1404, released in 2009 is extremely addictive, and will appeal to all players, whether experienced or new, it's got tons of complexity, and levelling up your unwashed peasants to haughty nobles taking care of their increasing needs adds great complexity and is weirdly satisfying. you'll need to plan your supply chains and cities efficiently to avoid nasty surprises like shortages and riots as your island nation grows. luckily the Campaign makes learning all this a breeze. It also contains the expansion "Venice". together, they'll keep you entertained for months, and you'll still be discovering new stuff. All in all a great game for any Strategy fan, although the combat system could've been better, but since this is more like a Medieval Simcity-resource management cross, i'm not complaining...
Also, a special thanks to flipkart for their 2 day delivery even though it said 7-8 days. you guys rock!
I'm a huge rts fan and Anno is in most people's best city-building games list and now I can see why.The level of complexity in anno is awesome , I mean as your citizens grow from peasants to nobles they'll become sort of snobbish and have slightly grand requests.The Music in the game is elegant to say the least.I still haven't seen any combat in-game but I think combat just takes a back seat to the city-building part of Anno . A must buy for city-building fans but as it contains city-building,economic-sim and rts parts its a must buy for any strategy game fan.
Flipkart's service was great as usual ,game was delivered in 4 days with perfect packaging.
Anon 1404 puts you into the medieval and renaissance era. The game is largely a city-building RTS, with a focus on tycoon/eco-sim gameplay. Anon 1404 sports beautiful graphics and some interesting, complex mechanics as well. *This Gold version includes the expansion title : Venice.*
With a good PC, you can experience the game's beautiful visuals to the maximum. Also, please make sure you patch the game to the latest version (usually automatically done via the Ubisoft Launcher) as it fixes several serious issues.
If you like RTS or city-builders (a la Civ), this game will greatly interest you. Being a fan of the Anno series, this is one of the best city-builders I've ever played. Highly recommended.
This is an amazing game which comes with Anno 1404 and Venice Expansion. I order two one for me and my friend. We play online as coop or multiplayer. It's a challenging game which tests your brain to its limit. As you settle down on more Islands it becomes difficult to manage and and keep track of everything.
THIS IS NOT A GAME FOCUSED ON WAR BUT ON CITY BUILDING.
Very little stress is given on military units since most of your time will be spent building the city.
Not sure if this is a good game or not, because once I installed it on my machine (with latest configurations of Win7 and GTX 5x card) - after being 15 minutes into the game it crashed and restarted the machine, blowing up the motherboard during the reboot. (The machine had Dx11 card, while the game seems to be using Dx10, thus heating up the onboard graphics and blowing the chip)
Just my 2 cents, in case you have latest hardware configurations and you are planning to install it on that. Better stick to old machines with Xp or so for this game.
