Anjali Joseph is a British-Indian author, journalist, and teacher. Her first novel, Saraswati Park, was a huge success and earned her many awards. She was listed as one of the twenty best writers under the age of forty by The Telegraph. She studied English at the Trinity College, Cambridge. She went on to take up various professions. She has taught French in London and English in Paris.

She read English at Trinity College, Cambridge, and has taught English at the Sorbonne, written for the Times of India in Bombay and been a Commissioning Editor for ELLE (India). Her first novel, Saraswati Park, won the Desmond Elliott Prize, the Betty Trask Prize, and the Vodafone Crossword Award for best novel in India, and was shortlisted for the Ondaatje Prize and a Commonwealth Prize. Another Country is her second novel.
