The Graveyard Book is a children’s fantasy book by Neil Gaiman.

    Summary of the Book

Nobody “Bod” Owens had a bad beginning. His parents were killed by a man known only as "the man Jack" when Bod was a year old. Bod wanders out of his house and into the neighbouring graveyard. The ghosts in the graveyard are surprised to find a baby among them, and wonder what they are to do with him. A strange ghost called the Lady on the Grey suggests that the baby should be raised by the ghosts who first found him. Mr. and Mrs. Owens decide to obey the Lady and name the boy Nobody. Bod grows up in the graveyard and is granted the Freedom of the Graveyard, allowing him to travel through objects like a ghost. In a new reimagining of Rudyard Kipling’s timeless classic, The Jungle Book, Neil Gaiman tosses in ghosts and spins a story for the young in age and the young at heart.

    Unputdownable!!!

I haven't read any of Gaiman's works, but loved the CORALINE and STARDUST movies, so i bought THE GRAVEYARD BOOK which was claimed to be his best work ever... and believe me, it is..!!! Right from the first page to the last, the book has an array of characters that grips your heart with the icy chill of the Graveyard and stays with you even after turning the last page. If Gaiman claims he was inspired by THE JUNGLE BOOK, I would say that this book is a work of art on its own. For those who co...

A very good and different story

Neil Gaiman has written and thought of a very nice and different story. When I read the story it was nice but there were some unnecessary things which bored me. I would like to add some more scenes if I would be asked to.The author has chosen a very wonderful character, Bod, a toddler. The story was very good and some things were there which totally made me curious. I liked the way the author wrote the story and introduced the character, Bod. I would like my friends and you to read it and enj...

    An unusual but interesting book.

My first Neil Gaiman book. I m not not much of a fantasy lover. But this book is just another level. Story of an orphan brought up by Ghosts and grew in a graveyard isn't a book you come across everyday. The adventures of Bod with his real and non existing family is definitely worth reading. Seriously, a Neil Gaiman fan now.
