The Graveyard Book (English, Paperback, Gaiman Neil)
The Graveyard Book is a children’s fantasy book by Neil Gaiman.
Summary of the Book
Nobody “Bod” Owens had a bad beginning. His parents were killed by a man known only as "the man Jack" when Bod was a year old. Bod wanders out of his house and into the neighbouring graveyard. The ghosts in the graveyard are surprised to find a baby among them, and wonder what they are to do with him. A strange ghost called the Lady on the Grey suggests that the baby should be raised by the ghosts who first found him. Mr. and Mrs. Owens decide to obey the Lady and name the boy Nobody. Bod grows up in the graveyard and is granted the Freedom of the Graveyard, allowing him to travel through objects like a ghost. In a new reimagining of Rudyard Kipling’s timeless classic, The Jungle Book, Neil Gaiman tosses in ghosts and spins a story for the young in age and the young at heart.
