The film also received five Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Redmayne and Best Actress for Jones.

Jane Wilde Hawking is an English author and educator. Born to Beryl and George Wilde, she grew up in St. Albans and obtained a Ph.D. in Romantic languages. She married Stephen Hawking in 1965. Together they have three children, Robert, Lucy and Tim. She has also authored Music to Move the Stars: A Life with Stephen.
