Apple nano 7th Generation 16 GB MP4 Player

1. If you are from India and want to spend 13k on an Apple product go for the previous generation iPod Touch, its worth it.
2. If you are from India and want to spend 13k on a Nano, don't, go for a Sony Walkman or a Cowon product.
3. If you are a from India,and a die-hard Apple fan-boy, its not my forte to convince you, go for it, but try to get it from USA via friends/relatives, which I did. It cost me $149 + 3% of the cost for exchange price(total around 8.6k).
4. If you are not from India and the price of this Nano isn't THIS HIGH then go for it its a very nice product.
5. And I am not one of those people who rate a product one star because of its price. This is a very nice product, its very light, very touch-friendly, earpods are definitely better than the previous gen earphones and the Bluetooth is a nice addition.

If you want a real portable music player with lots of storage capacity and you don’t need camera, apps, games or videos, you are going to love it. Its light weighted and so tiny and a great little device at gym or while running. The advantage of the new nano over the previous generation is clearly showing with the easy to use touch interface and the extremely portable size.I like how it has a pedometer :)

First, this ipod nano may look pricey in India, but I got it from US for around 8.5k all inclusive. I have a ipod shuffle, which itself is great product but wanted something with screen. The ipod touch has lot of goodies, but the size is so big that it can't be practically called portable !! And we have iphone, so ipod touch didn't make any sense either. Some may say buy 4g ipod touch than latest nano but then what they don't see is the size. The large size of touch makes it like a phone, which spoils the utility, atleast for me, especially when iphone is there.

What I suggest is, if you are into gym, running etc. opt for ipod shuffle & if you need something really nice, powerful yet small with a screen, opt for nano. If you can get it from US, its absolute VFM.

I just hope apple incorporates 2 things in new nano (whenever they launch it) -

1.) Volume should be adjustable from earphone or these earphones should be atleast optional,
2.) Clip should be provided like previous gen nano/current gen shuffle, so that in closed area (dust free), you can clip it on your shirt & use it. This clip is very useful if you wear t-shirts, which normally don't have pockets.

Overall, this is fantastic product, very compact, great sound quality & yes, its a ipod at the end of the day ! I will rate it 4.5/5. Could have given 5/5 if above 2 points would have been incorporated in it. Hope new gen takes care of it. :)

Once again Apple succeeded in rolling out an unmatched and amazing device. I already own the iPod Touch 5G and you can check out my review on it in Flipkart. Coming back to this product, I bought it for my mom who wanted a good music player that was handy and easy to use. What impressed me the most is the audio quality and smoothness of the OS installed on this diminutive device. It is a delight to handle and you would immediate want it to stick with you wherever you go. In fact, I found myself leaning on this device for music instead of my iPod Touch 5G only because it is lighter and easier to handle in the hand. The following the pros and cons of this device.

Pros:

1. Amazing Touch experience. I did not expect the OS to be smooth and delightful. I
found no difference between the touch experience of the iPod Touch 5G and this iPod
Nano. You will definitely marvel at this.

2. The audio quality is impressive and it is well worth the money you would put to acquire
this device.

3. It also supports videos and photos. You can upload and watch movies and your favorite
photos on it (However you have to convert the movies into the iPod Nano supported
format to upload and play them on this device).

4. This device also has a fitness app for your fitness needs.

5. Bluetooth is available on this device. I am not sure about this, as I am yet to find out
until I receive my Bluetooth Speakers, but I believe apple has made this available to
support playing music wirelessly. Meaning if you have Bluetooth Speakers (For
example, Bose Soundlink Bluetooth Speakers), you can play music on those
speakers from your iPod Nano! Your Nano will, upon Bluetooth connectivity, act as a
remote to play any song or to increase or reduce the volume etc.

6. One feature even the iPod Touch 5G lacks, is the Radio! However Apple has made it
available on this device. Therefore you can enjoy your favorite radio stations on this
device as well.

Cons:

1. There is not much to criticize on this product. However, one common complaint I have
is to upload everything only from iTunes. It would be nice if Apple can enable Bluetooth
transfer of music and photos to the iPod Nano or for the matter to any Apple device.
The latest update is this feature is going to be available on the devices that support the
new iOS 7 released recently. But I believe Apple should make this provision for the
Nano as well as this will make life easier.

2. Apple products are not entirely scratch proof. It is a good option to shell out some
cash to buy a case to protect your Nano. I would recommend the Switcheasy brand for
your casing needs. It comes with two Screen Guards and a Case (Color Choices are
available).

3. Quite a bit expensive. It would be nice if price is lowered further.

Overall, the iPod Nano is an excellent device. One worth spending your cash if you require a Compact and Diminutive Music Player for your basic music needs. If this fits your bill, without any hesitation go for this device!

What can I say about this product...after all it's APPLE yaar...:-)
Right from the music quality to intuitive built in features, I have only word to say "Fabulous"

The best part is the in-built pedometer that tracks your calories burnt, distance covered and steps. I was simply blown away as to how accurate the sensor is...

Moreover, the Earpods are one of the best addition and it fairly compensates for it's 12K price...10/10 for the hearing quality

Only one suggestion for improvement: The Earpods cord length should be much long in order to prevent it from being physically streched while you are running. :-)

Go for this product if your budget is not tight...
