This book is awesome Review by sdkfjnThis book is thrilling has stuff about a criminal boy who becomes good in this book teleports back in time to retieve the lemur that will cure his mother, and and fight back his own cruel self when he was younger. He is shocked at how evil he was and successfully retrieves the lemur that had become extinct because of him.
A Disappointment Review by Attentive ReaderEver since I read the first Artemis Fowl novel, I've been undeniably obsessed with the series. I'd read and re-read each book, memorized the fairy lettering, etc. Basically a fanatic. Unfortunately, after waiting two months for The Time Paradox, I was sorely disappointed with the outcome. Although the plot was actually pretty good, the nonredeemable qualities of the book just destroyed my interest in the series completely.
The whole Holly/Artemis thing was like something out of a bad fanfic. Opal Koboi seems to have turned into Colfer's security blanket for the next storyline. And Artemis's face-off with himself seemed to suggest that people who weren't sociopaths were somehow stupider and more of a bother than anything else.
In short, finishing the book left me with no interest in reading any further works, and I was truly saddened by that thought. My advice would be to not read this book - sometimes ignorance is bliss.
