Book: Aryan Path Of The Buddha In Buddhism, special emphasis is laid on the practice of the teachings of the Buddha and that practice chiefly consists of traversing the middle path. That middle path is known as Aryan eightfold path, while the entire teachings of the master are labelled with the name of aryadharma.
The book makes a serious attempt to go into the reasons why master called his dharma as aryadharma. Tracing the meaning of the word arya and dharma from both the points of view, historical as well as philosophical, and also comparing the path described by the master with the ancient way of Indian life, a new purpose emerges that encourages any seirous student to embark upon the path of serious student to embark upon the path of practice shown by the master.
About Author :
Kare Manohar Gupta (b.1953), Ph.d. is a research scholar in the field of Pali and Buddhism. While in his earlier work Linguistics in Pali, he showed his depth in the feild of Pali studies, in this book, he treats the subject from a philosophicla point of view. Thus he agains shws that the language of the Buddha is both the carrier of his subtle teachings and also the ancient linguistic traits.
Dr Gupta obtained his PhD in Buddhist Studies from the University of Delhi. He has published several articles in reputed Buddhist journals.
