Assassin’s Creed III is an action-adventure game that takes place during the events of the American Revolution. You will get to explore 18th century Boston, New York in detail as the game is set in an open world environment which allows free movement. This game is the fifth major installment in the series and a direct sequel to Assassin’s Creed: Revelations that came out in 2011.
Stealth action gamers will love this game with its improved graphics, gameplay, story and game physics. This version of Assassin’s Creed III is for the Xbox 360 console and features both single player and multiplayer modes. This action-adventure stealth game is rated M for Mature 17+ by ESRB and 18 and above by Pegi as it may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and strong language. The game is developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft.
Synopsis and Features
Assassin’s Creed III starts in the present day with Desmond using the machine known as the Animus to relive the memories of his ancestors to find a clue as to how to stop the catastrophic events of December 21, 2012. You play Desmond’s ancestor Ratonhnhake:ton who is half-English and half-Mohawk. He is one of the guardians of the Grand Temple and gets to speak to Juno who warns him that if he does not leave his tribe to find his destiny everyone will suffer. Juno asks him to find Achilles Davenport, a master assassin to help in training and shows Ratonhnhake:ton the symbol of the Assassins.
Ratonhnhake:ton takes on the name Connor to be able to blend in more easily in town. Achilles makes him a full-fledged member of the Assassin’s Brotherhood after completion of his training. Connor then sets out to kill the Colonial Templars who were the cause of much harm to his tribe. New features such as double-counters, multiple takedowns and chain kills have been introduced to add more excitement to the game. Dual-wielding of weapons has also been introduced, allowing Connor to attack with both hands making him even more deadly. New weapons include a tomahawk, flintlock, hidden blades, pistol, rope darts and the bow and arrow.
The standard target locking system has been removed and replaced with the much more effective automated enemy selection system that helps you attack faster. This open environment game allows you to explore the city at will and even climb up building to spy on a target. The game runs on Ubisoft’s advanced Anvil Next game engine which is incredible at delivering smooth gameplay and brilliant graphics.

Game is awesome except some frustration points, please don't underrate game for late delivery
I know some of the guys here preordered and didn't get on the first day. Me too. But please don't give low star rating, as it might give bad impression on the game.
I am playing this game, and to say abt this, this is the best AC game, ever. There are some points where you could get stuck, but, be patient. The graphic quality is just awesome.
MUST BUY FOR AC FANS AND A GOOD BUY FOR OTHERS!

Apart from Far Cry 3, Assassins Creed 3 is the best game in Ubisoft series and AC series!

U will first play as hero's father for almost half the gameplay, it will feel to stop playing the game as u cannot climb on trees, no tom-hawk and do other cool stuff. After the first half, the hero will be introduced who can do almost anything....!

THE SIDE MISSIONS OVERSHADOW THE MAIN QUEST!!!
Yes, that's right folks!
It is as a beautiful game to look at just as brilliant it is to play.
There are varied missions, diverse environments and most importantly it is set during the historical American Revolution.
The sound, graphics, gameplay are all top notch.
But the real winner in this game have to be the side missions. It includes hunting more than 20 species of wildlife, building and populating the homestead, naval battles(only few are part of the story), exploring tunnels, searching for almanac pages and clues for Kidd's treasure and lots more.
All these side quests feel authentic and do not seem to be included just for the purpose of extending gameplay hours.
GREAT JOB UBISOFT!!!!!
Also the PS3 version is not locked to 30 FPS. So, it goes all the way upto 60 FPS in most of the cases and only drops a bit in crowded environment but never below 30 FPS.
And the free poster available on pre-order is just amazing.

Amazing & Revolutionary!!!!
The third(numbered) installment in the series is an open world game where history is the playground!The new assassin Connor Ratonhnhaké:ton"(pronounced:-ra-doon-ha-gay-doon) is half-British half-American and how he joins into assassin's order is the main story line of the game with the "American revolution" in the background.The fans of the franchise will notice the change in the parkour movements and the rebuilt combat.And also this the right time for the newcomers to dive in.
The presentation is awesome and the narrative is compelling.This lets you get to know the character based on the decision taken in game,which other games do using the soundtrack/music
The gameplay is awesome and most fluid in the series history,dual wielding is back!
The game is huge biggest(alone frontier map is one-half times bigger than Rome in brotherhood imagine!)there are tons of things to do apart from main storyline hunting,side quests,assassins guild...etc.
This is a must buy title!
Beware! there are bugs and technical glitches in the game,but Ubisoft has released "day one patch which fixes several bugs" it is recommended you download it before playing to increase player's experience.
