ASUS DRW-24B3ST Box Pack Review
The product is the full retail box pack, comes bundled with Nero 10 and Asus' E-Green and E-Hammer software. I did not install the latter two, but the drive works just fine without them. It works flawlessly with other burning software/freeware like CDBurnerXP, ImgBurn etc.
One point: It does not contain a data cable, you will have to purchase a SATA cable separately.
The drive is essentially a rebadged Liteon iHas24, and has all the good capabilities associated with the same.
A very good purchase for a reasonable price. Recommended ;-)

About Product I burned about 53 DVD with no problem no error very fast as compared to lg and Sony. I am happy with all ASUS optical drive i recommend you to purchase this writer. Only one this we have to purchase a sata cable. rest ok

Best DVD R/W | Heavy Usage
This Asus DVD/RW is the best R/W that I have ever had. I have tried following DVD R/W in the past years:
1. Sony - WORS,T I have bought many of it.
2. LG - WORST
3. Moserbaer - OK OK
4. Asus, bought it 10 days ago :)
It has been only 10 days and I have Writed over 100 DVDs and Works fine. Other DVD RW gave up at 50-60 DVD.
So Go for Asus, if u have heavy usage.

Causes of Computer Hardware Failures..
I am using a Sony DVD writer which get malfunctioned within a month.
Then later after my research i came to know that all the hardwares were absolutely fine..Only the problem was of SMPS(Power Supply)due to which the hardwares were malfunctioning.The hardware failiure usually causes in certain periods due to improper voltage supply to hardware components.So always use a good and branded power supply unit like of Corsair & Cooler Master.You have to invest in SMPS just for once as branded smps usually comes with 3 to 5yrs warranty and they rung more than their warranty periods for years if used properly.So first get noticed how much watts your total p.c consumes and buy a SMPS according to it.Mostly 650w gets sufficient and future-proof wid a config like"i7 2600k cpu,8gb ram,1tb hdd,Asus P8Z68-V PRO GEN3 Motherboard,24x DVD writer,Corsair Hydro Series H60 Liquid CPU Cooler,1GB GDDR5 1ghz GPU etc"
Then all your hardwares will run smoothly without any problems if you use a branded SMPS.
