Perfect Budget Gaming Laptop with few glaring problems
This is my first gaming laptop (bought it in August). I did a proper research and this model fit the bill perfectly.
I think any serious/casual gamer buying a gaming laptop will agree that price proportionally, the GL552JX offers the best package.

Ok, first of all its 1080p screen not 768p. Secondly, I have not noticed any flickers. The laptop has felt sturdy to say the least, the built quality is absolutely amazing barring the touchpad, which wobble, as they say. I brought this Asus laptop yesterday (30-06-2015) from my local Asus showroom. I got it for 69000, and then got a Asus laptop bag, a United Colours of Benetton bag, a gaming headphone, a Asus gaming mouse free. Awesome Laptop
I have been looking for a good gaming laptop for a while now, then i had decided upon Lenevo y50-70, but then i stumbled upon this amazing laptop. Yes y50 has better gfx card, but the hdd is crappy, and this one has even better option to upgrade storage with m.2 ssd. Considering the negligible gfx performance and much better overall system performance with 7200rpm hdd and option to go for boot ssd, this is much better option than y50.

I have been using this laptop for a couple of months now and all I can say is 'It's Awesome'. Moreover I got it at a whopping 63.5k from local seller so you should not miss out any opportunity to bargain with the seller.

Amazing piece of tech for an amazing price.
C'mon. The price doesn't seem to match the specs of this beast. I was impressed with the packaging and the gaming gear I got with this laptop. I was expecting some cheap shit but got a great gaming mouse, a nice pair of headphones and a high quality laptop bag. I also found a cable binder and a screen cleaning cloth inside the packaging.

The Correct Review!!
It is 1080p IPS panel.
Its made of plastic unlike other ROG which are of aluminium.But Build quality is still great.
There is screen flickering at 0-99% brightness i.e. only solution is to keep it at 100% all times.But screen flickering is not that usual. IT is generally in games or video with great colour variation.
And 100% brightness is totally acceptable as this is a gaming laptop so it will be on battery at all times.
Design of this laptop is superb.
