DREAM MACHINE I WOULD SAY...
first let me say the only fault i found , the webcam is only 0.3mp ;but still it gives a very good video quality . the designs awsome , its very compact and small for an i7 machine . less heat generated , it uses ice cool technology . i found some one above mention it doesnt has a usb3.0 port, thats wrong it has usb3.0 port . its touch pad is simply gorgeous....just forget the mouse once you use it . the sound quality(altec lancing speakers) is good but you dont expect a very loud noise from a home theatre .compared to its prize you are getting a lot more .the same configuratio of dell costs more than 60000 . dont hesitate to buy this since its asus....i would say its better than any other brands . keep in mind the best mother boards were always from asus , only asus can give dream machine like this at such a cool rate since asus dont go around begging for the components... . .it makes its own world of super quality peripherals . . so go onn my word .
Awaiting this laptop from Flipkart!

This seemed to be the most rounded up device in the K series. Since the resolution is 1366x768, makes more sense to view it on a 14" screen rather than 15.6". An i7 n 540m makes for a very potent machine capable of handling games quite well. Could not find this combo of hardware in any brand under 50k. Hopefully i'll get it by 26th Dec from Flipkart. Will review it and let you know! Two cons: No USB 3.0 and the webcam is a meagre 0.3mp

Pretty nice
Pretty decent battery life of ~4hrs, with Ubuntu Linux. The only high spec machine, which does not come with mac or Windows preloaded. Pretty cool to work with.
Sadly, the display resolution is not not high as I wanted ( HD/Full HD ), was unable to find 9/12cell battery for this, lack of 3yrs warranty out of the box, a slower hdd ( 5400rpm).
Best laptop in this range
This is the best laptop in this range and please flipkart bring this in stock, i need it badly, BTW ASUS has the minimum hardware failure rates in previous 3 years and HP has the most so its clear that forget HP and buy this one and you will also save around 12,000 rupees. This is the best machine one can get.
