Actually this was my second build.i was using a dual core.i upgraded to core i7.The best specs to get 7.8 out of rating in windows experience index

Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z ROG motherboard
The Maximus IV Gene-Z is an ROG board, it is packed with all the features you could find on a high-end ATX motherboard into a small M-ATX form factor.
Pros :
1. Aesthetically pleasing design.
2. PCI-E Gen 3.0 ready
3. Supports all LGA-1155 Sandy-bridge and Ivy-bridge processors.
4. Uses an 8+4 phase CPU and 2 phase Memory power design allowing easy overclocking.
5. Start, reset, Clear CMOS and the post-code readout.
6. Intel LAN and SupremeFX X-Fi 2 8-Channel HD Audio
7. 4 USB 3.0 and 2 SATA 3 6GB/s ports
8. ROG connect and other features like UEFI bios.

May not boot up properly the first time, just re-install everything, clear CMOS and it will post without a hitch!
best of the best
Best board for this price. u can SLI Corssfire and overclock K series processors upto 4.8ghz. Besides, it is a ROG board, so u can connect ur laptop n use it to overclock ur proc. There is just one catch if u plan to SLI or crossfire; the GPU's will be too close to each other n might build up heat n that is it, also there is no XIFI audio chip, be aware.

Absolutely AWESOME
Worth every rupee spent on it, and more. No problem in installing it. Was worried if the cooler (CM Hyper 212 EVO) would prevent installing my Corsair Vengeance RAM, however there is just enough room to put the RAM in the first slot and the cooler in the default push configuration.
