Mid-range GAMING MONSTER
i ve been using this card for just over a day now n it seems sweeter by the minute.
This review is for those who are yet undecided about whether to go for this card or not.
First of all, at the price, this card is an absolute steal,
The performance of this card is superb,
i ve installed COD MW1 and MW2, HAWX 1 and HAWX 2, Batman Arkhan asylum, Crysis, Kingdom of amalur, and none of these games are unplayable
Older titles like COD and HAWX run maxed out at my monitors native resolution of 1920x1080 full HD at atleast 100-150 fps
COD MW is an absolute beauty to watch with this card.
The alternatives like Gigabyte and zotac are good, but ASUS is known for their quality products
The alternatives like GTX 560 and GTX 560ti are costlier and aimed at serious gamers who require gaming on dual monitors and online gaming.
So in conclusion, this card is for the Mid level gamer and even the hardcore gamer on a tight budget..
For hardcore gamers, 2 gtx 550ti's in SLI will be unbeatable :) so good choice for a later upgrade.
I ll get back to enjoying Kingdoms of Amalur now :)

Great Card For Gaming at High Settings
I brought this graphic card From Flipkart before 10 days.
Please Note :
It is the 900 MHz GPU Card.
Minimum Recommended System Power - 400 W (Important)
My Computer Specs:
Intel i3-540 Processor
Ram - 4GB
MONITOR - 22"inch LCD
OS - Win 7 Ultimate(64bit)
You can easily overclock this card by using "Asus Smart Doctor" (Provided with this Card).
I was able to play every latest games With High Graphic Settings (1920x1080) Like,
Max Payne 3,
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Nearly High Settings),
Battlefield 3,
Assassin Creed Revelations,
FIFA 12,
Saints Row..Etc, With High Settings without any lag.
But Still i cant able to play GTA 4 With High settings.
But i can still play this game by reducing the texture quality. still the games looks good.
To my knowledge this is the "Best card" to play games with high settings which cost below 10k.I Am very happy with this card.
If you ready to spend nearly 10k for gaming, then go for this card.
My personal opinion is, if you buy any card like GTX 550ti, 560, 560ti, Buy Only Asus Product.They are built perfect for gaming.

Asus makes the best computer components!
First I want to point out that, the specifications shared by Flipkart on this page as of today is a mixture of all the specs on the three different versions of the 550Ti. the one which you actually get is the one specified as the title and not the one with Direct CU nor the 975mhz version. It's the basic version.
Asus just makes the most amazing PC components and this GPU is just awesome. For some reason CUDA cores perform better than a similar AMD GPU. Esp. in professional video editing software.
Works well on the older PSUs. Upgraded my DELL STUDIO 7100 which came with a sad Ati Radeon 5450.
Overall so happy that Flipkart managed to send some version atleast. This is a GPU in major demand.
Don't think twice, I've bought atleast 4 GPUs in the last one month and this is one of those which wowed me bigtime.

Great for Medium-Budget PC
I own this Card, and let me tell you im very happy with it. I would say its a very very good graphic card for resolutions upto 1600x900 ie 19" or 20" Monitor. If you own a bigger monitor then you should buy "Nvidia GTX560 Ti"!
I usually play at 1600x900 on 20" Monitor, and i have Intel Core i5 2310 2.9 GHz!
But note that the card you get is a basic version not the direct CU version.
Good performance - value for money, Will probably work great for games that come along in next 5-7 years
Cons:
Burnt my old (local brand) PSU - Had to upgrade my PSU for this
Not a good card for DX11 - buy GTX 560 instead
Temp get up to 70'c while playing games at ultra settings
Overall I'll give this card 7/10 rating for high settings gaming and 9/10 rating for medium settings gaming.

First of all salute to flipkart For their great service and quick delivery i live in vadodara and its been always a pleasure purchasing items from flipkart and flipkart is my one stop online shop And am gonna purchase my each and every electronic and other items from flipkart only in near furture , i have this card and trust me its a beast and it can run each and every game in high to ultra settings and 40 to 60 Fps is just Enough To play Games with their Full glory and you get better picture quality and physx ,you can run anything on this beast and this card is future proof ,if you are expecting to have more performace then pair them in sli and see the performance i just wish this card should have PCI-Express 3.0 x 16 But its ok So Go for this card you wont be dissapointed
