Asus X53TA-SX096D Laptop (Quad Core A6/ 2GB/ 500GB/ DOS/ 1GB Graph)

After having researched a lot, I came to the decision of buying this laptop.

The Processor is on par with a Intel Core i5 (in terms of performance) and the graphic card is better (2x times better) than nvidia GT520M 1GB.

If you add the 4GB ram in addition, the laptop is perfect for gaming & anything else you may want to do with it.

Overall its a grat buy for anyone who wants to play games but not buy an alienware.

First of all, the service provided by flipkart is top notch and you guys deserve a pat on the back for delivering such an extraordinary service. I have become an instant fan of flipkart on seeing the neat packing and wraping you have done on the product ordered and also due to the delivery services provided.
Now my thoughts on the ASUS X53TA-SX096D notebook. It has taken me a while to confirm my decision on this notebook and I have been looking up reviews online and to be honest the reviews posted by the users here as well prompted me to go for this notebook.
My requirements primarily were to play games, watch HD movies, working on DAW and I needed a good performing notebook within 32k.
What made me buy this laptop:
1. Since my previous Dell Laptop have been a AMD one and the only issue I had with that one was the heating issue, I was reluctant and was biased towards the ‘Core I’ series by Intel as they were doing better in the benchmarks. Also, except from the Phenom and Turion series, I dint bother to check out any other product by AMD and what made me notice Is the price difference between ‘Core I’ series and AMD dual core and then I was looking closely on benchmarks and that’s how I came across Llano(Sabine platform) by AMD and this notebook is equipped with one of it.
This laptop outperformed ‘Core i3’ series in most benchmarks with processing and graphical oriented aspects and the price is way lower than the Intel counterparts.
2. Asus remain one of the best motherboards makers in the market and so I was certain the quality of the notebook would be remarkable.
The quality of materials used and the design is great and for this price you also get the complete keyboard layout with numpad.
3. Inclusion of Crossfire firmed my decision to go for this notebook and checking on the reviews here and elsewhere, this beast is able to handle all of the latest games atleast in medium settings and on this I was completely blown apart and ordered this one right away.
What I dint really like:
1. Apart from all the good ones, the webcam is not upto the mark or I would say is of the least quality and I would advise you to get an external webcam. But i do ignore this as for this price, you are offered everything else and that makes up for the ineffective webcam provided.

Brought a Strontium 4GB DDR3 Ram and upgraded before starting the laptop and works great.
Just been using the laptop for 8 hours now and these are few things which I noticed:
• The processor adjusted the clock speed in accordance to the type of programs used. For example, if you are web browsing, the clock speed goes down to 800 Mhz and the heat dissipation is low and while playing games or so, it shoots up to the max of 2.3 Ghz and now you got what you need for your games. With this, it’s a great adjustment done by the system, thus energy efficient or performance oriented as and when required.
• As Asus mentioned about ICE COOL technology, it works good and helps to keep the palm resting area of the laptop cool to be comfortable to use.
• Was able to play games well and had not issues. Tested NFS The Run, NFS Hot Pursuit, COD MW3 and all of them worked superbly.
• The keyboard seemed a little cramped up but in time you will be adjusted and its not that bad either.
• The sound is not very loud as compared to my previous Dell laptop but is clear and neat, thx to Altec Lansing.
I would definitely recommend anyone with a similar budget and requirements to stop hunting or comparing and to go for this notebook as its more worth than the price you have paid for it. After much research , I would say Flipkart offers the best price for this laptop and an exceptional service too.

guys ur delivery system is very good, and about the product, its a great product i upgrated the ram to 6gb and it is able to run even crysis at medium graphics setting and got a frame rate of 42 ..this product is a great value for money

Pro's
a) Powerful Quad core CPU, rating 6.6 on windows(comparable to core i3 class).
b) Potent graphics, assymetric crossfired 6250G and HD 6650M, good for high demanding 3d applications and can run Crysis 2 at medium settings wih respectable frame rates.(better than Geforece GT 520M, comparable to GT 540M)
c) Glossy printed flap, engraved palm rest, well designed trackpad, overall good built quality.
d) Downloaded and tested 1080p HD videos from youtube, system was able to handle them without any lag.
e) USB 3.0 port(the other two are USB 2.0), bulk large file transfer speed of around 90 MBps, about 4/5 times faster than USB 2.0(although it claims 10X faster,USB 3.0 external HDD recommended).
f) Windows Base Score of 5.9.
g) Well designed heat sinks, system stays cool during most of the generic activities like watching HD movies, browsing and playing some casual games.

Con's
a) Only 2 GB RAM.(4 GB recommended)
b) DOS, need to install some other OS and compatible drivers(that you will get in the DVD are for Win 7 64 bit only)
c) Sound quality(external speakers) and screen quality average.

Performance wise better than any other system in the current market and in segment under 30k range.
Overall a great buy, Excellent value for money package.
