Asus X550LC-XX039D Laptop (4th Gen Ci5/ 4GB/ 750GB/ DOS/2GB Graph)  (15.6 inch, Dark Gray, 2.3 kg)

I got this product 2 and half months ago and this is my first review on flipkart or any other online seller. I purchased this from ASUS showroom as they are giving FREE GENUINE WINDOWS 8 with all ASUS products (this is an offer by asus for limited time and they registered the key in front of me).
All the specifications listed on flipkart are correct rather than usb ports, there are 3 usb ports, 2 of them are usb 3.0 at left side and 1 usb 2.0 at right side.

I bought this lap from a local dealer for almost 41ks. Have been using this for more than a month...But man,you gotta say simply stunned by the specs ASUS provides for this one @ this range.... outplays all others....!!!

Very much satisfied with this product. Thanks to Flipkart for such a fast delivery,got within a day. Yes,coming to the laptop. Good finish by Asus,light-weight,hmm..keys wobble a bit but that's not a major problem.. :-P
Great sound quality.
Recent games like Assassin's Creed 4,Crysis 3,COD:Ghosts Battlefield 4 run smoothly in moderate settings but in very high settings they lag a bit.
Overall,good product. Go for it.

Very good laptop...Speed is good, looks are better with sleek design, lightweight.
Only con is Free OS would have been better.

Have been using Asus products viz., MoBo, Graphics Cards etc, for more than 2 years. Have been happy with the quality so far. Hence the decision to buy this one.

Its a DOS machine, so newbies stay away. Once you install Windows 8, its fun to work with. I'm not a fan of Windows 8, use Windows 7 at my Workstation.

Graphics is average. If you are serious gamer, you know what you want. As highlighted, light, crazy fast boot and resume times. Install all recommended drivers and software from Asus.

Asus has made it difficult to install Windows 7 and fully utilize the laptop's potential. At first i settled for a windows 8.1 installation for the lack of drivers, but then the irritation of using windows 8(crap) overcame me and i decided to hunt for the windows 7 drivers. Lucky me, I Didn't have to search extensively. Google for the drivers with the model name and Windows 7 suffix.
So if anyone is staying away from the product scared of windows 8 only drivers, Do not be.

It is very light weight compared to other laptops.

The screen clarity is very very good..

Hardly gets heated..

Sound is really good and loud..( Great work by sonic master)

Battery backup is around 6-7 hours..

There are lots of service centers( for people who think there are no service centers in India)

No doubt, this is the best laptop among budget..!!
