I brought this product from one of the retailers three months ago. Initially there was complaint of some burning smell of wires inside the body if it used contineously for more than couple of minutes. Then we called the service centre and showed the problem. They came and checked and told us that there isn't any problem. The problem will automatically stop once you use it for little more duration. It has reducted a bit but we are still worried.
After this issue, the main bowl and the lid started breaking piece by piece. Bajaj claims it as a unbreakable polycarbonate. So today we showed it to their technical person. He says the lid and the processing bowl will cost Rs 850 and additional there will be Rs 150 service charge. Now it is not worth to buy a product of 5K and replace the bowl and lid of 1/5th price just in three months. Now I have denied that offer and thinking to go for another product as there is no guarantee that the same thing will not happen again in next three months. I have similar experience with the hand blender as well.
If you dont want to get these frequent headache, I would recommend all not to go for any of the product from Bajaj electricals.
I bought it last year in March. From the very first week there was problem with the spindle cover of the food processor. It gets stuck very badly on to the blades of chopper and the kneader and then you end up wasting lot of time in taking it out. So instead of convenience it becomes a burden.
Now coming to the pathetic after sales service by Bajaj- After a complaint was made a person visited and replaced the cover which was of no help. Again complained-the same person came & tried to fix the problem using cellotape and a hammer (imagine hitting the processor spindle with a hammer)...it aggravated the problem. Again complained...another fellow comes &tells that the cover needs replacement again bt he doesn't have the part so he wl visit again. After this inspite of my complaining a no of times I am still waiting for the response.
And to add to the woes blade of its chatni grinderhas broken while grinding pudina and dhania leaves.
