The story unfolds with two young boys, Pradeep and Ravi, coming from Bhopal along with their mother to spend a week long holiday in Delhi. As they moved around the city, their illusions about this capital city as world class were shattered and finally they returned determined to propagate values and fight blood-sucking Bakasurs through Young Mens Brigade.

Through a comparison of corrupt people with the mythological demon Baskasur, the author has endeavoured to enlighten the society, especially the adolescent youth and wean them away from indulging in corrupt practices so that our country would be a better place in live in. Embellished with humour and anecdotes, the 200 pages book, which has ample number of illustrations would certainly influence the reader to hate corruption and become a citizen with values. The cover page depiction of Bakasur would create an imprint in such a way that every reader would brand a corrupt man, who is indulging in a range of serious crimes and has enormous appetite for bad money, a Bakasur.

While the Hindi version of this book for social change has already been launched, it is being translated into all the vernaculars, so that the message would spread.

Eighty per cent of the profits of this book, priced only Rs.120, is being dedicated by the author for Childrens welfare, through the Childrens Fund being created by him in this regard.

About the Author

Dr. N. Dilip Kumar is a socially conscience IPS officer who has retired recently as a Special Commissioner of Police, Delhi. Apart from contributing to several areas of policing, he made a mark for his crusades against corruption, for which he was chosen as one of the 35 Action Heroes of the country by India Today Magazine in 2010. He firmly believes unless strong and independent Lokpal and Lokayuktas are instituted, country can never rid itself of this monster of corruption.
