A must see for the WW II history buffs, well researched documentary with the special Spielberg touches, please ensure that no children are present as some scenes are gory and gruesome..

Band of Brothers follows the E Company (Easy Company) of the 502 Regiment of the 101 Airborne Division of the US Army during the second world war from training in England, to Normandy D-Day landings, then to Holland (Arnheim) , then to the Ardennes forest (Bastogne) , finally to Berlin, led by Sam Winters (Major). Also includes excerpts from interviews with actual combat veterans including Sam Winters. Probably no other unit has experienced so many combat situations.

The Pacific follows the US Marine Corps on their various battles across the Pacific with the Japanese forces including Iwo Jima, Guadalcanal, Pallavu, etc. Certain scenes are gruusome and parental discretion is advised. Extremely well researched and contains interviews with combat veterans.

A documentary of the return of the forces back to the US and their subsequent re-adjustment to civilian life (or lack of it) is an interesting ending to the series.
