The way various characters are depicted, it is a classic in Marathi language. One becomes part of the book while reading it. If I am asked to select five books from modern Marathi literature this will find a place easily.

This is my first book after 10th standard(in marathi). And i found it a bit enjoying. Its story about a village and while reading book ,it seems that i am reading story of my village(he he he).
If you have spent some years in a village you will definitely find this book a lot exciting.Thanks to flipkart got delivery withing 2 and half days .

A fan of the writer, I liked this one too. Though I have not seen the movies based on it, now after finishing the book, i am thinking of watching the movie too.

This after a long time i have started reading Marathi books again. i had heard about this book from many..... took me to my childhood which has witnessed similar conditions. no doubt this book is on its 25th edition. thanx to the writer for writing the amazing book.
