Barron's New GRE: The Leader in Test Preparation (With CD-ROM) is a helpful and informative book for all GRE aspirants. This book has been penned down by GRE experts Ira K Wolf and Sharon Weiner Green, who have meticulously covered all the chapters from the GRE syllabus prescribed by ETS.
The book has two full length practice tests and a diagnostic test that are tailored as per the new GRE syllabus. The new verbal reasoning section is also updated and revamped. Quantitative Reasoning section includes numeric entry and multiple answer questions, which have an answer key and are explained elaborately.
The book comes with screen shots of the test sections similar to the actual test. It also has a CD-ROM enclosed with it and two practice tests that are a simulation of the actual GRE. It comprises topics like verbal ability, quantitative ability, analytical writing and model tests.

Please dont buy this book
Dear Friends,
Please don't buy this book. It is a shear waste of money. The book is just like a brochure/syllabus book only. From the book You can know what all things to study for GRE (basically syllabus).
1. it contain very less problems( serious drawback)
2. No vocabulary words
3. It don't act as a text book for GRE
4. It just a book of syllabus
My Strong Suggestion : Don't buy ..

Words list missing!
Yes, the words necessary for scoring the best marks in GRE are missing from the book.
The also book showcases a big advertisement for GREedge.com on the cover page.
And this website keeps informing me that this book by Barron's doesn't have words list and advises me to join a course conducted by them.
All I can say is that this book is incomplete. But it contains practice tests.

Better than any other books on New GRE
The Quant section is pretty much same (as this section hasn't changed) much. But there are changes in Verbal and Analytical Writing section which author has explained nicely. The way he explains Analytical Writing is superb. Even the Official Guide does not do that.
I think it is a must for folks preparing for GRE .

Good book, much needed
I bought this book a while ago, and I must say that the approach taken towards every question is neat and clean and much helpful. Unlike the previous GRE, this book does not require you to mug up the word lists, instead understand the usage of every word required and use it in correct places. It provides many useful techniques to be adopted while answering a question. I am not yet onto the quantitative section of the book yet, therefore until what I've seen, the verbal section is very good.
Practice questions in this book is limited, so a suggestion is that to buy a separate book containing practice questions alone, and use this book for preparation mainly and workout available questions in it.
Hope this review helps, cheers to those writing the GRE!
