Basic Principles and Calculations in Chemical Engineering is a comprehensive resource for all undergraduate and professional chemical and industrial engineers. The book is an introductory text on the principles of chemical engineering, demonstrating how chemical engineering and bioengineering are perceived in real life. The book discusses how to calculate material balances, and teaches the basics of stoichiometry. It explains about gases, vapours and liquids, giving students a coverage of the laws of gases and their equations of state. In addition, the book covers multiphase equilibria, energy, energy balance, psychrometry, and other relevant topics.
