For the first time the Joker's origin is revealed in this tale of insanity and human perseverance. Looking to prove that any man can be pushed past his breaking point and go mad, the Joker attempts to drive Commissioner Gordon insane. After shooting and permanently paralyzing his daughter Barbara (a.k.a. Batgirl), the Joker kidnaps the commissioner and attacks his mind in hopes of breaking the man. But refusing to give up, Gordon maintains his sanity with the help of Batman in an effort to best the madman.
to any comics fan, Alan Moore as a writer needs no introduction. In 1988, He and Brian Bolland set a high benchmark for both story and art in "Batman: The killing Joke". told in 50 odd pages, this is the most definitive Batman/ Joker story. Joker shoots and cripples barbara gordon (commissioner James Gordon's daughter: a major change in the batman mythos, as Barbara never walks again and subsequently becomes Oracle) and kidnaps the commissioner to drive him mad. In this deluxe edition, Bolland's re-coloring highlights the story (and creates a scary Joker). Both the beginning pages, with batman's speech and the ending page with batman/Joker are outstanding. Joker's origin story also stands till date. A treat especially for fans of "The Dark Knight" movie.....

A must have for joker fans!
This is a good Batman vs Joker comic. If u wanna know the Joker's origin and want to see him in a spectacular craze then go for it.A bit overpriced since the story is not very long, but the artwork and Joker's joke in the end of the comic make up for it.
