Batman: The Long Halloween

A pure classic, this one. Shows a rookie Batman, still getting his grip over Gotham, and the partnership he forges with Gordon and Harvey Dent as they unite in their crusade against the corruption and crime that infests Gotham. This story gives undoubtedly the best Two Face back story. Utilizes almost all the major villains from Batman's rogue gallery whilst keeping the story gritty and realistic. The artwork is amazing, the shadows and darkness in the artwork makes the story so much more engrossing, and the Noir goes so well with the Dark Knight's element.
What I loved the most about this graphic novel is that unlike many of the stories out there, this one is a thrilling detective story.
Buy it! After all ,The Dark Knight was loosely inspired by it. Need i say more?

A masterpiece from the team of Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale. Keeps the reader grooved until the very last panel of the graphic novel. As revealed by Christopher Nolan and David Goyer themselves(those who dont know them please dont bother watching batman movies), this book along with the Man Who Laughs was their primary inspiration for the Dark Knight. The noirish sketches by Sale are the driving force in the whole novel. Also the theme of the cover of each chapter which is a festival/Holiday is fantastic. Also this trade paperback dwelves into the origin of Harvey Dent and the Gotham mafia led by The Roman.
A must read for every Batman collector and also a good paperback to start with for the newbies...

Jeph and Tim have created a classic crackerjack mystery set in the early days of Batman's career (no Robin) and deals with a lot more than psychos (of course, you get them too). The basic plot is that there is a serial killer called 'Holiday' who strikes on public holidays, resulting in a crime spree across 13 months (and that many issues) extending from one halloween to another, hence the title. Highly recommended.

ONE of the best Batman comics from his starting years .i loved the story . the most amazing thing is the story about harvry dent how he lives 2 lives and in the end how he becomes two face .the appearances by other villains is also great and the role of catwoman is really. end is really unexpected as no one ever finds who the holiday killer is just kidding find out yourself.

This is one of the most awesome batman stories ever. The storyline, artwork and characters are great. Even all the entries of batman's enemies is done well. This book also includes the interview between Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer along with sketches of the book covers.

This is a must have in the Batman's comic collection!!!!!
