Synopsis and Features

Set in locations across the world like Paris, Tehran, New York, Kuwait, Oman and the Persian Gulf, Battlefield 3 promises a grand canvas for legendary battles. You take on the role of Sergeant Blackburn or Dimitri Mayakovsky and fight missions based on different locations and try to stop a war that is brewing on a global scale.

Developed by EA Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts, Battlefield 3 includes massive improvements from the previous games in the series. The single player campaign of the game speaks about how modern conflicts are resulting in destruction of world peace.

The campaign has some exhilarating and adrenaline-pumping missions that will keep you at the edge of your seats. One of the missions in the game is the gunner mission. This mission allows you to take the position of a gunner in a fighter plane and fight enemies in the sky. The feeling you get while playing this mission is epic as every second counts for your survival. You will be shooting planes out of the sky, escaping gunfire or deploying flares in an effort to save yourself, your co-pilot and your plane.

The game features a co-op mode that offers six missions. The co-op mode is interesting as you can indulge in numerous missions like Hit-and-run and more. Battlefield 3 differs from other games because of the variety it offers. There are 6 different classes of vehicles that include jets, tanks, jeeps, armored vehicles and even helicopters. The weapons in the game range from assault rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns, personal defence weapons, machine guns, carbines, pistols to rocket launchers.

If you are an expert sniper and have camped on top of building thinking I am safe here, think again. Battlefield 3 has completely destructive environments where bullets can even penetrate through walls. Entire buildings can be rigged to crumble like a deck of cards. No one is safe. Online Features

Battlefield games are known for their huge multiplayer environments, and the same is delivered with Battlefield 3. You can be in any team you want. The teams include Assault: for frontline combat medic, Engineer: for RPG and repairs, Support: for heavy suppressive fire and Recon: for gathering Intel and sniping. You can earn points by eliminating your enemies and rising in the point system. There are different unlockables like weapons and gadgets that assist you as you graduate the ranks.

There are a variety of different game modes in the multiplayer like Conquest, Rush, Squad Deathmatch, Squad Rush and Team Deathmatch. There are 9 maps based on a variety of urban, industrial, and military locations. You can team up with friends through simple 4V4 matches or up to 24 players can login at the same time to create havoc in the BF3’s multiplayer universe.

You can keep track of stats from every player across the world through a free application called Battlelog. Battlelog is an auto-update feature that keeps track of your every progression in the game. You can compare your stats and know which player has the highest playtime or the highest kills and more.

One of the exclusive features that you can access in the Premium Edition is the reset option. Using this you can reset you Score, Kills/Deaths, and Wins/Losses statistics. If you are an avid multiplayer fan this will help you immensely as you have a fresh start every time you play against others. You can also save 5 of your best Battle Reports permanently on game’s servers.
