Beetel Magiq II

Cons:
1. No capacitive touch screen. This is a huge drawback. After some time, you will get sick of unresponsive screen

2. No GPS, no compass - cannot use for navigation.

3. Just 2200 mAh battery, which is too tiny.

4. No usb (from spec), you won't be able to connect even a keyboard.

5. not sure, if it has a gravity sensor and accelerometer.

On positives!
1. it has an HDMI port, so you can watch movies on large screen

2. 8 GB internal memory

Go for other tablets, which at least have capacitive touch screen.

I bought this device because of the following reasons:
1. Android
2. Good processing speed
3. Low cost
4. I can watch videos while working on my laptop/desktop
5. I can use this as a e-book reader.. 7 inch
6. can now test my android apps on beetel magiq ii!

Advantages

3. Could be used as a phone!
4. Works really well with bsnl 3g sim
5. Nice stand
6. 2mp front and 2mp back camera
7. can skype
8. blackberry like center button to move around icons and links. Which is brilliant in a tablet and which is missing in other tablets.

disadvantages
1. Resistive touch
2. Low battery life. ~4 hrs

Certainly all reviews said this is better than reliance 3g.. !
If you don't want to spend 30 K on samsung galaxy tab/ ipad2.. and if you can't wait for kindle fire.. don't even think which tablet to buy.. beetel is the one..

am sure the prices will come down to 9k in few weeks!!

I have received it just a couple of days back from Flipkart. This is my first tablet. The screen resolution is not great but its has responded well to my fingers. Preloaded apps are good. I have tested it with a 2G sim and it has worked nice. Pre loaded browser is not that fast so I have downloaded Opera and got the browsing satisfaction. Worked fantastic on wi-fi. The on board processor is really good with 8GB internal memmory. Theya have also provided an additional 8GB micro SD card free. Beetel should have thought or may still think about improving the power resource. A 2200 mah battery is no way sufficient for those who likes to watch movies or play games or even browse inernet for hours. The phone feature of this device also worth mentioning. The supplied handsfree is real ordinary so I would suggest everyone to spend on a better hadnsfree. It also does not support USB charging but I am okay with that as well. If you consider the price I would still say it worth buying. I dont think Beetel has any competition at this price range.

This is definitely value for money. I ordered the Beetel Magic II ( the stripped off version of Beetle Magic ) Tablet from Flipkart.

It supports 3G SIM (The only one I could find that supports 3G SIM at this price range), Wifi, Bluetooth, Video calling, GPS. It has min speakers on both sides and sound volume is pretty good at higher levels. It has proprietary port that can connect to a USB in via proprietary cable supplied with the Tablet. Internal memory is very disappointing at 160 MB, which restricts the no of application to be installed on phone to only a few, but the free 8GB memory card supplied tries to give some relief. The 8 GB card fits into the Micro Sd slot at the bottom. The processor is ARM V7 rev2 @ 768 MHZ over QSD8X50 SURF. RAM is quite decent at 512 MB. Yes it is preloaded with Android Froyo => 2.2.Screen size is 480 * 800 which is resistive. Has a plastic stylus that fits at the back. It has acccelerometer sensor that can be enabled for all 4 directions.Picture quality of the 2MP camera surrenders to low lighting.

Its been 4 months - I am using this tablet shipped by Flipkart. Absolutely wonder machine for this price.
It has all; (again what the price can afford).
I am new to android world. I am pretty impressed with its applications. And this tablet allows users to have experience most of its applications without impediment.
To take few applications in this tab -
1. Some of the applications which I found it cumbersome – are Iris, fun with camera.. (as the processor is slow it responds – slowly).
2. The inbuilt video player doesn’t support .avi format – which makes Mx video player a necessity.
3. Most amazing application so far I have used is google sky – its wide screen gives much better look of the skies and horizon than any other contemporary smart phones.
4. Main advantage over a smart phone is its screen width – makes book reading, browsing, video watching pleasurable.

Few of its strong WEAK points –
1. Weight.
2. Touch insensitivity – No pinch to zoom.
3. No Accelerometer, Barometers
4. Whenever you receive or make a call – you need to use headphones or Bluetooth head set, it’s not street smart to talk with loudspeakers on!!
5. Battery - ?? 2200mA, if it had 10 times this – it would have made significant difference.
6. No Pouch available yet in the market. How you guys are carrying it around??
