
The author believes that every story and every statement in the Bible has meaning. There may be a church's interpretation of the issue, which can be accepted as truth, but there is also a personal application. For it is God speaking to us as individuals, inviting us into the mystery of his love.
Curiosity can lead us astray, causing us to wander into a spiritual desert. In Befuddled, Jozwiak suggests we use our curiosity to find the hidden treasures in those parts of the Bible that befuddle us. Although his examples are only a few of those we may encounter while reading the Bible, his wish is for his readers to eventually find more interest in the bigger book-the Word of God.
