Benro T-600EX

Ordered this about a month ago, delivery was fast even by ordering on a Saturday. But the product itself is questionable. It's a small sized compact tripod, about 5 feet. It's good for a starting point, but initially even you will get fed up of it within a short span. It's not sturdy, lightweight being the problem, can be knocked over by a small wind also. The grip and head do not hold all cameras, you definitely can't use professional cameras. Maybe just the regular handycams or cheap digital cameras. You can give it a shot, but really it's not very worth it.

First of all thanks to Flipkart for the fast delivery. The order was placed on Dec 8th (Sat)evening and the tripod was delivered to me on Dec 10th (Mon). Good work Flipkart !!! You were able to change my mind !! (Initially I ordered for Benro 880 Ex and the status showed as 'processing' even after two weeks. I contacted customer care twice and they assured the delivery. Nothing happened and at last I had to cancel my order. After two days I placed the order for Benro 600EX.) As of now I am happy.

About Benro T 600EX - I was looking for a basic tripod for my Sony HX200v. I am not a professional/amateur photographer and I wanted a tripod for the very basic stuff. To capture shots indoors without anyone’s help. And Benro 600EX was perfect for my need. The build was rigid and the visual appeal was really good. You may first get confused with the three knobs. But the truth is within 30 mins time you will be used to it. The carry bag is also good. The one delivered to me was manufactured in April 2012. My camera weighs around 600 gms and it rests on the tripod perfectly. No shakes - I tried some night scenes which needs a tripod and the picture quality was really good. (No blurring of the image)

Don’t expect high end stuffs from this tripod. But from my experience it’s worth the money. Remember Benro has a good brand name in Tripod industry. Their basic model is also well made. So give a try and I am sure you won’t be disappointed.

I brought this from Chandini Chowk from delhi for a 1400. I had finalized a not so branded digipro tripod worth 1500 when i decided to give another shops a shot and came across this. I got to learn a lot of things by looking for other models. Even though the pricing was same, i went for benro because of its build quality. Benro is an international brand and cant compare the quality to other local products. Also, i got a three year warantee on this. The vendor told me that unlike other tripods, the subparts of benro are very easily available and in case of any breakage, one can go for repair instead of buying a new one alltogether. Note that this tripod offers three way movement (some cheap ones offer only two way movement which is a serious drawback, so just notice in case you plan to chose some other brand)

I got the tripod just after a day of ordering it. Benro T-600EX is my second order on Flipkart and I am extremely happy with their service.

Benro T-600EX is one of the best tripods in this price range. I have already tested it on a rainy day; it was a thunderstorm. I didn't notice any shaking of the tripod. However, I don't give any guarantee that it would not shake in extreme weather conditions, when the wind force would be very high. I think that happens with all other tripods. About the make and colour of the product, I am fully satisfied. The only con I have noticed so far is the height of the tripod, it is hardly about 3.5 feet . That's the maximum height the tripod can be set to.

well it is crystal clear that with 1610 you cant get all the features. yes i bought it for that. now it has increased. well to start with it pros is looks good shiny polished base stands. where as the top rod that is lifted by rotating a lever is plastic. it seems durable enough but wont stand if you toy with it too much by performing stress tests. the middle leg doesnt have a hook to attach weights and the base of the stands are somewhat rubberized but they are fixed. there are some models where it adjusts itself with the ground. well overall its a very good choice for its price. i would recommend the 660ex
