Magical

The best selling author of Eat, Pray, Love - Elizabeth Gilbert, writes a non fiction this time, "Big Magic". The book is an inspiration to all who wish to pursue creative writing seriously. It enthralls us with the journey of generating ideas to ultimately shaping and deliverance of the idea.

Elizabeth Gilbert provides courage to all those budding authors who think their ideas will be ridiculed, if brought forth to the world. She says, ideas are like cosmic lights. Constantly in search of br...

Big love for Big Magic!

Let me start by telling you'll that I took quite some time to finish reading this book. Not because it was boring, or the vocabulary was too difficult for me, or any other such reason; but because every few pages I was inspired to think creatively and as and when ideas came flowing to me, I closed the book and started taking notes.

The title "Big Magic - Creative living beyond fear" may elude you to think that this is a book only creative people should read, but no, this is a book any body c...

Good book

Good self help book. Ideal if you are confused about where you stand currently and need a compass. Since I already am living the creative life most of it was a validation. But even then some parts were helpful in busting some belief systems. simple and the stories she tells to explain her point are good.

Book Review: Big Magic

The very first moment when I got my hands on Elizabeth Gilbert’s new novel, I do not kid you – I was immensely fascinated by the cover and the layout of the book. I kept staring at it, transfixed. The colors seemed imaginary; they seemed pure. But, I had no idea that the prose inside of it would capture me even more; would transform me even further. Elizabeth Gilbert’s ‘Big Magic’ is truly one of those books that changes your life.
Gilbert starts her narrative with an old anecdote about how ...

Inspiring & Pragmatic

When I first heard about Big Magic, I was in two minds. However, I must admit that not only did I thoroughly enjoy reading this book, I felt it connected to my own life in so many ways – and that, for me, is a rare feeling. Big Magic is about trying to understand the creative spirit, about welcoming it into one’s life and about understanding that the “gift” of creativity is not for the “select few”.

The author takes the reader on a journey through this ever confusing, misunderstood, mistreat...
