Big Miracle  (DVD English)

The Big Miracle is the wonderful story of people caring enough to make a difference in order to save a family of gray whales. This touching tale was directed by Ken Kwapis and the the movie was written by Jack Amiel and Michael Begler . The Big Miracle stars the lively Drew Barrymore along with John Krasinki and John Pingayak in the lead. Other notable actors include Ted Danson and Dermot Mulroney. The Big Miracle takes place during the late 80's when a group of three California gray whales gets trapped by rapidly forming ice in the Arctic Circle near small town Alaska. A brave news reporter and his ex-girlfriend who works for Greenpeace work against odds to rally the community to save the majestic mammals. The news reporter raises the plight of the poor whales by doing a feature on them that attracts national and international attention, with even the President mobilizing the National Guard to help.
