Bioinformatics

The present book entitled BIOINORMATICS comprises 19 articles pertaining to this discipline is basically a proceeding of the 17th All India Congress of Zoology held from 15th-17th October, 2006 at Vidyanagri, Baramati, Pune. This book will be very useful for the students, teachers and researchers in this field and it can also be used as a standard referene book.

Dr. B. N. Pandey (b. 1946), Professor and Head, Dept. of Zoology and Dean, Faculty of Science, Magadh University, Bodh Gaya has brillaing academic career. He was awarded Gold Medals for standing first class both at B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. level. He is recipients of many other Gold Medals such as Congress of Zoology Gold Medal in 1995 & 1998, Dorabjee Tata Gold Medal (2000) and Century Eminent Scientists Gold Medal (1998-2000) by Zoological Society of India; Scientists of the year-2002 Gold medal by National Environmental Science Academy, New Delhi. Dr. Sadhana Deshpande is a Zoologist and has done her Ph.D. in Fisheries Science. Presently she is holding the post of Vice-Principla of Vidya Pratishtan's ASC College, Baramati. She has behind her many years of experience in research teaching and administration. Many of her research papers have been published by reputed Science Journals in India and abroad. Before shifting to the academic area, she started her career by setting to the academic area, she started her career by setting up a Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory.
